Lobster On The Dining Plan

DH and I are going in December and we've decided to do the DDP.

I was hoping I'd be able to have Lobster for dinner one of the nights we're there.

I saw that Cap'n Jacks has twin lobster tails on the menu. Has anyone ordered that using the DDP? The only real reason I'd even bother to eat there is because of the lobster and I'd hate to go and learn that its excluded from the menu because of the price or something. Also, is it any good?

Are there any other places at WDW that are included in the DDP and serve lobster?

Narcosees at the GF has lobster. They are a 2TS credit/signature restraurant.

We ate at Captain Jack's in September and had the lobster tails. They were wonderful!! DH had the crab cakes app, I had the spinach dip, and both were great as well. We loved it and are planning on returning this September. Great deal on the DDP as the lobster tails are priced around $35. Captain Jack's is the only 1 TS restaurant with lobster on the menu.

Ate lobster at CJ last year on DDP and returning this year. Agree the crab cakes are equally delicious !

(sorry brain to finger malfunction)

That's terrific. It looks yummy.

Thanks.

Captain Jacks also has a Surf and Turf where you can have steak and lobster. I think when we return in September, I will have to try that one. Hubby ususally get ribs I think, but their food is really good and we like that it is only one TS.

I was hoping to find some lobster too! Since we added 2 days to our package by booking ASMo instead of Poly, that gives us 2 more nights of dining! So I was looking at CJ. I would love the lobster, but on allearsnet.com for the menu I dont see a steak dish on there. Is there one?

The lobster photo looks great. I don't see it on the menu for Capt'n Jack that posted on wdwinfo. Is it still offered?

i see the steak is still listed on allears (Top Sirloin with Onion Ragout)

can't decide between the crab cakes (i'm not fond of the ones w/lots of bread crumb filler) and the shrimp cocktail...yum.

I sure hope there is a surf and turf! Hubby and I will each get it and he can have the turf, I eat the surf!

A CM from CJ's was posting on here about a month or so ago, and he posted the current menus in April -- no steak, the beef entree is now pot roast, and no more ribs. The menu posted on AllEars for dinner is old, from January 2006. The twin lobster tails is still an option on the Dining Plan, and very popular, obviously. Of course, menus can change any time, and they could have steak back on the menu in the future. Go to CJ's for the seafood -- it's their specialty ::yes:: DH and I don't eat seafood, but my sis and her DH loved the lobster. If you want steak, there's Le Cellier, Wolfgang Puck's Cafe, Grand Floridian Cafe, Concourse Steakhouse, Yachtsmen's, or many other places that specialize in that.
