I am going to wdw for the first time in Sept. I picked PORFQ for the reason it was small due to my mobility not being so well.
I have seen threads saying how nice it is BUT:

Lately the threads are talking about bedbugs, and now feet fungus!!

Should I change to a different resort? Whats up with the managemnet at PO?

Does wdw read these threads?

Yes both resorts are crawling with bed bugs!!!:lmao: :lmao:

And the bed bugs have the foot fungus!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Seriously though, you can end up with bed bugs in any resort at Disney World.

I wouldn't worry in the least bit. Both of these resorts are awesome!! I have stayed at both!! Always very, very clean when we were there!!

Although I did have to fight a bed bug to get into my room one night!!:rotfl2:

OK, um, foot fungus:scared: After several stays at POR, never once had an issue with bed bugs or any kind of fungus.....Please don't let it scare you away from our beloved Riverside:flower3:

Thanks for putting my mind a liitle more at ease.
But why dont you read about the other resorts having this problem?

you obviously haven't been on this board long enough!!! Sooner or later, one of the other resorts will go through "bashing-time". Stay tuned.:lmao:

My family just got back from a 6 night stay at POR and not one of us has a "foot fungus" or saw a single bed bug. We LOVED it there and have only good things to say. DisneyFool is right...keep looking if you dare...you can find negative things about almost every resort on this board at some point. It's funny how two people can stay at a resort at the same time and have different perspectives on the experience. Anyway...again...we loved POR and I'm already trying to figure out how to get DH back sooner than later!

Bring a can of Lysol with you. I bring it everywhere I stay and spray everything.

Neither issue has anything to do with the management.

The foot problem appears to be an allergic reaction. Even if it were athlete's foot, if you walk around barefoot in ANY public place, you can pick that up. It's not unique to POR/POFQ, or any hotel, for that matter.

As for the bedbugs, I assure you that the very LAST thing any hotel manager wants is bedbugs in their rooms, and they take care of it the minute they find out about it. It has nothing to do with a lack of cleanliness on the part of the hotel, they come in with guests. They've been found in very, very expensive hotels. Again, it's not unique to POR/POFQ.
