This sounds like a lovely resort. However, I am concerned about the size of it. I think I would love it as long as I had a good room location. I know that no request is guaranteed though. This makes me a little nervous about trying it. What do you think buzz?
I guess it depends on what your used to. Its the same size as POR and smaller than CBR. The pool is in the middle but the food court and main building are in the front so if you get put in the ranchos, it can be a walk. They do offer the internal shuttle to help assist guests to and from.

I am doing the happy dance :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Our tax refund came yesterday and today DH had me pay for our stay at Coronado in full.. :cool1: :cool1: Now to plan our days and ADR's

Does anyone know if the Jumping Bean arcade is still operational while all of the construction is going on?

Great thread, btw!:goodvibes

Just back, had a wonderful time. This was our first stay at CSR, we stayed in Cabana 9B room 9650. CSR is a beautiful resort, we can not say enough about the beauty of this resort. I loved that you could sit in one spot and see all of the pool, this was good for me so that I could see DS swimming all the time, at CBR you can't see every spot of the main pool and you have to get up and look around. (IMO)
My only request was that we not be put around the convention area, when we got there that is were our room was. AAA had made all reservations for us and the information was on all of our paperwork. CM told me this was all that was available, and that we could be put on a list to have our room changed on a later date, I did not want to deal with the hassle of changing our room so I said forget it. DH said next time we go back to CBR, CM did not seem to care. DH went to get our ADR's and I went to find a manager. The manager took care of everything for us, and gave us an upgrade to our room. All I said to her was that we were disappointed with our room location, and she looked into it for us and made the change, we had never gone to the original room.
We did have a problem with smoking, Cabana’s 9B is a non-smoking area, but people were still smoking outside the rooms we would have to walk by them, this was not the resorts fault, a couple of times when we returned to our room it would smell like smoke, non-smoking signs are on the doors, but they did not seem to stop people from smoking on the walkways. There were even cigarette butts on the 2nd floor walk way.
Now for all the positive. DS loved going out and laying on the Hammock outside our room and I could see him from our window, thanks to the upgrade. Bus stop 1 was a very short walk for us, we also had a short walk to main pool and main building. We loved walking around the resort, and just taking in all the beauty.
Let me know if you have any questions and I will try to answer them.
Thank you everyone who has given information, we felt like we had been here before.
By the way our thermostat would not go below 70, DH had it set for hold 65, I like to be cold when I sleep, but it never went below 70. There was a ceiling fan in our room that I kept on high all the time. We never did ask about the Air conditioner.
CSR is a great place to stay.

These reports regarding CSR are fantastic, fantastic, fantastic! I am booked to stay at this resort from October 4 - October 8, 2007. Reading all of the feedback and Buzz's information, sold me on staying here. I am Soooooooo excited!:yay: :yay:

We will be returning to CSR in 9 days!!! I'm beyond excited!!! We stayed there last year and fell in love with the resort. We had a few problems with out AC last year too I remember. My boy friend gets very hot so he wasn't very pleased!!!

Glad you had a great time! Which area is the convention area and is this a bad place to be staying in? I requested the Casitas section. I'll be staying in CSR in November! I can't wait!

the casitas is closest to the convention center, we were in casitas 3 and loved it -not to worry! It was beautiful and I would stay there again.

We're going to Disney...we're going to Disney

THANK YOU I.R.S. (I'm sure I'll never say that again!!!)

If if wasn't for you, dear IRS, I would *never* have been able to take my family to Disney...the happiest place on earth!!

We are paid in full with Free dining staying at the Coronado Springs Resort!!

Now I just need to come up with souvenir money plus some extra! (Maybe I should call Uncle Sam - see what he can do!! :rotfl:)

This may sound like a strange question, and it may not be answerable, but what sort of range of bourbons do they stock at the bars?I like a nice snifter at the end of the day to unwind and a shot of bourbon goes down very nicely.:drinking:

On the room service menu they have the following bourbons listed. Not sure if others are available at the bars.

Bourbon
Jim Beam
Jack Daniels

I had a question about house keeping. I was wondering if most people usually left a large tip on the last day of your stay or if you leave a little bit everyday? How much do you usually leave as well???

Thanks so much!
