OK I'm feeling like I'm going slightly  as I've now read THREE different ways this works! Is it...
...on the 4th night you return to the restaurant of the 1st night?
...on the 2nd night you return to the restaurant of the previous (1st) night?
...on the 3rd night you return to the restaurant of the previous (2nd) night?

Can anyone confirm that the 2nd night is Dress-Up night and that the 3rd night is Pirates in the Caribbean night? Also on the DD, is the Palo Brunch still offered even tho' there isn't an 'at sea' day?

Sorry for so many questions but I've come up with so many conflicting answers that I need a little help... :confused3

On the 4 day the rotation is

4 day cruise
TAAP 5:30 and 8:00
APPT 5:45 and 8:15
PTTA 6:00 and 8:30

The third night is Pirate night. You can confirm that with the navigators in the link on the FAQ thread. :) Not sure about the DD 4 day since they haven't had a regular one yet. That may be something that you will have to wait & see at the 90 or 75 day window when Palo resies open up.

Sorry if this seems obvious to you, but we have the 6pm dinner option, so that means we are on the PTTA rotation? It is all quite confusing till you have been on a cruise!:)

we did the 4 night in january on the wonder. i do not recall having a dress up night, it was cruise casual.

If you have the TAAP rotation, is it correct that the Animator's Palette 'transformation' only happens on the first night?

I'm sure that in the most recent Navigator I looked at, Day 2 was designated as Dress-Up night... :confused3

Yes... the AP "show" only happens on the first night, if you have the TAAP rotation.

While the 2nd night is "dress up night", it is nowhere near as dressy as the semi-formal or formal nights on the 7 day cruises. You will see anything from jeans to suits and ties that night. The 3 and 4 day cruises are pretty casual, for the most part.

So no matter which rotation we get, the repeat restaurant is always on the third night? So I should book Palo for the 3rd night if I want to dine once at all 3 restaurants and not miss a restaurant? Is this correct?

If I might add to the above question..if the pirate night is on the 3rd night, does that mean if we booked Palo that night that we'd miss a pirate themed dinner by doing Palo then? Or is the Pirate night referring only to the Pirates in the Caribbean party? I don't want to eat at Palo on the 3rd night and miss eating dressed up as pirates, if that is what is done at the normal dinner time.

Pirate night is the night people dress as pirates for dinner and the pirate party.

Correct - However see the question above about pirate night.

So, if I don't want to miss dining at all 3 of the restaurants and don't want to miss the pirate party, it doesn't look like there is any good night to have dinner at Palo on the 4 night cruise. Palo brunch might be the way to go.

You're thinking exactly what I'm thinking. Can someone confirm this?

That was what ours was in Nov 04. 2nd night formal night 3rd was pirate night.

And I wouldn't go by 6:00 time as your dining time until you get to port as they use 6 for early dinner rotation and 8:00 for late dinner rotation. WE were 2 adults only.

Ah, thanks for that. I did wonder about the time issue.

According to The Passporter to DCL, they say, depending on who is in your party:

All adults- TAAP
with young kids- APPT
with older kids-PTTA

I'm thinking just brunch at Palo's too since I don't want to miss any of the dinners.

Definately do Palo the 2nd night...I didn't know there was a dress up night either on the 4-day until I saw it in the Navigator on day 2. Since you have to dress up anyway and will be back at the same restaurant on night 3, I'd do Palo on night 2.

I'll never get to go to Palo...I cruise w/ my DS...8 yrs old. :scared:

wouldn't trade it for the world!

I think this is only an issue if you're on the TAAP rotation as the Animator's Palette 'show' only occurs on the first night and if you don't want to miss that AND Pirate's Night you're stuck really.

It doesn't seem to matter for the other rotations as you get a second chance to be in the repeated restaurant anyway. I think I'd go ahead and book Palo's for the 2nd night 'on spec' as you don't know your rotation in advance (but it can be changed once onboard) and you can always cancel if it doesn't feel right... :thumbsup2

How about a REALLY long range plan? Sounds like a great present for his 18th birthday!!

sounds like a plan...he's my ultimate travel companion. He gets funner every year. I'm just so jazzed about getting him in a tuxedo next year for the 7-night cruise. Agreeing to wear a tux was his price tag for me re-booking!

Not saying it hasn't changed but our 2 adult only party was PTTA. and we had 6:00p dining time.

we had a couple w/out children at our table last week @ 6:00 pm and the schedule was PTTA.
