Hi all.... My sister and I decided to hit the parks yesterday to "unwind" after our weekend in Las Vegas. We had a great drive down and made it from Burbank to Anaheim in under an hour. Not bad for a morning commute! We got in at gate opening and found the fastest line and were walking down Main St on our way to our day at DL... We had no plans just going with the flow of the day and when we were leaving FL on our way to Pirates, we were "dreamed" and received lanyards with pins. How cool :cool1: what a way to start the day..
It was pretty busy, but we used FP's and had ourselves a fun time and discovered the "single rider" lines.. We have never tried this before.. It isn't as fast as a FP, but we still managed to make it on to Soarin in about 10 minutes... We also took some time to watch the rafts come down and get a "surprise" soaking from the underwater geiyser at the end of Grizzly River run...
After we decided to call it a day we were walking over the bridge in front of the Tiki Room and I spotted Carnie Wilson... (Daughter of Brian Wilson and member of 80's group Wilson-Phillips) I am not usually one to walk up and say "Hi" but in a split second we made eye contact and I said Hi and then she is introducing me to her Hubby Rob and her daughter Lola. She is really down to earth and we talked about DL and my sister mentioned that I am a disney addict and love the DIS Boards, so I passed along some of your tips. I apologized for interrupting her day, but she insisted that it was cool and was kind enough to take a photo with me... I got a hug goodbye  and we were on our way to Main St for some final window shopping.
We had a fun day... It was a little weird not having my boys with me, but they will get to go next time...

Fun, fun! That is something cool that you will always remember! We saw Kathy Ireland (used to be a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and Cover Girl, I believe) -- but she looked busy with kids and didn't make eye contact at all, so we didn't meet her. But it's just fun to spot a celeb!

I'm sure she doesn't remember me, but I went to summer camp the same session as Carnie. In fact, the daughter of Oscar Gould ($6 million dollar man) was also there. WAY back in the day. :goodvibes

I tried to send the picture to my email so I could upload the photo, but my cell phone pix messaging is not working!!!

LOL I thought about this post today while I was at DL. I also got dreamed (Dream FastPasses in front of the castle) and well, saw a celeb (Erik Estrada). Guess it's just a week for that at DL :p.
