ok so it seems that the "IT" toys for the girls this Christmas are gonna be Zoobles and Squinkies...At least that's what the ppl at Walmart are telling ppl here lol...so i went to the store with DD8 to see if either of these interested her and she picked Zoobles..she said the Squinkies would just get lost too easily lol...They are both about the same size but she already plays with Bakugan and she LOVE LPS so this seems like the perfect pairing...our Walmart has them for $5 for individuals, they only seem to be out of the ones that sell for $7.99 so looks like once she goes back to school this week mommy will be stocking up...If anyone is having a hard time finding them in your area let me know and I'll see if i can help you out..Where else have these been spotted? I know my mother checked Target and they were out...thanks!

A little off topic, but have you seen any polly pockets? I couldn't find any in our walmart or kmart? Wondering what is going on with them?:confused3

Saw some at Target tonight. I wasn't looking for them so I couldn't tell you exactly what they had.

My DD has been asking for Squinkies. One Target was out, but another had them. I think they are so small and would get lost (or at my house played with by the cat!). Zoobles seem like the way to go. She loves LPS so I am going to steer her to the Zoobles.

I saw Polly Pocket at Target.

Our Polly Pocket section was empty for a bit, now it's stocked with these new ones that are a crossover type. Like cat + cactus = cat/cactus thingy. DD thinks they're cute, but I'm cheap and try to buy PP on clearance or BOGO.

Our Targets have lots of Zoobles and all the playsets. Polly Pockets were just restocked with new stuff. They have chunkier legs/feet now. Lots of Pop n' Swaps. Squinkies are harder to find here. One Squinkie set stuffed behind the Pollys at one Target, none at the other. I haven't looked at any other stores though.

I was at Target yesterday and they had both the Squinkies and Zoobles (I hope I am spelling that right). They had several kinds/styles in stock. Man, am I glad I have a boy...those itty bitty pieces would drive me nuts!

Good Luck on your hunts mommas!

I guess I prefer the Squinkies - their price point is a bit more friendly. I don't know how many there are, but at least you can get a package of several (16 or 20?) for one price.

I just saw a commercial for Zoobles - and I agree that they are adorable, but I can't tell the difference between any of them (other than if they are a cat, dog, bunny, etc.), but the ad says there are over 150 of them! :scared1: At $5-$9 or so for a 1 or 2 pack, that is way more than my budget will allow. I guess there are that many LPS animals though - those have just been accumulated more slowly.

If DD is interested in either, I hope it is Squinkies so I can put together a package with several items for $25 or less. I guess we'll see though...maybe I should pick up a couple of Zoobles just in case.

There were more Squinkies at our Target than Zoobles. I did not even show my DD the Squinkies because I thought they were too small. She just turned 11 and I *thought* that she was too big for them as a grown-up middle schooler but she bought a pair of Zoobles with her birthday money. All but one package of the $5 individual ones were sold out, there were about 4 varieties of the $8 "special edition" ones and there was only one type of the $10 pair. I will probably keep my eyes peeled for more Zoobles to put away for her. I didn't think she would like Zhu Zhus last year and I was wrong.

My DD(6) loves her Zoobles. She has 5 of them and she is constantly playing with them. We bought some the 1st week of August and now they are no where to be found. I was so glad to get a few of them for her. She also loves LPS and now she has introduced her Zoobles to her LPS's:goodvibes
Here's hoping "Santa" brings Zoobles!;)

well looks like after school starts on Wed I'll be headed to the stores to stock up on Zoobles while I have some money...the way its going they will be hard to find come Christmas..i got on the Zhu Zhu bandwagon late last yr and I don't wanna go through that hunt again lol....now i just gotta figure out what to get DS2 for Christmas...maybe i'll find some deals for him on black friday...if i can afford it i wanna get a Wi this year but that might have to wait yet another yr

Since I already collected this useless(?) info I'll share with you guys. ;)

There are only 63 Zoobles. And only 50 are available now, including the ones that are in playsets/giftsets. And of those 50, 10 are store specific (TRU, Walmart, Target) and I can't even find those on Ebay (sold or unsold) so 40 readily available ones.

I'm not sure why the commercial says there are 150 of them. Their own website says differently.

The numbers available right now are:
1-12
19-26
35
36 Walmart only
37-38
107-115
117-118
119-20 Walmart only
121-23 Target only 3pk set
124-26 TRU only 3pk set
138-143
218 TRU only

'coming soon'
41-46
55
73-78

ok..........so I saw this post the other day and when I went to Target this morning I swung by the toy aisle and sure enough they had a few on the shelf. I grabbed a couple along with the playset. My girls love LPS, so I am sure that they will enjoy playing with these as well. I do NOT want to repeat the whole Zhu Zhu craze like last year!! Thanks everyone for the heads up!!

I appreciate the head's up as well and will try to pick some up for my neice who will be 5. I got her Zhu Zhu pets last year and don't want to go through that again! :rolleyes1

went to Target today and found the zoobles and just a couple squinkies. Our target had TONS of zoobles and all the playsets. They only had 3 of the big packs of squinkies left. The Polly pocket section was packed full.

I saw packages of Squinkies today at our local AC Moore. They have a small toy section and I was surprised to see them.

Off to google Zoobles...I've never heard of these :confused3 I have a DD8 who's usually up to date with the latest fads, are these in our age range??

THe birthday money was burning a hole in my DD's pocket so we went to Target yesterday. She agreed that if there were no Squinkies or Zoobles she would wait until another day. No Squinkies and 3 special edition Zoobles. She picked out the one chickie Zooble and played with it for quite some time. I guess on the commercial they imply that the Zooble talks, but of course they don't. A little disappointment there though. She was more thrilled that it came with stickers to decorate the "happitat".

Squinkies were on sale at toys rus this week and DH popped in before work and picked up a deluxe gumball and cupcake playset. One for my neice for Christmas and one for my cousin.I will probbaly pick up a small zoobles set for each of them as well. Zoobles seem to be less popular around here as i have found tons of them around.
