Has anyone done this tour? Is it worth the $$? Is it just at EPCOT or do they go to other parks or resorts?

I have taken it, Terk, it was good. All the tours have been great, IMO, and I have taken 10 of them. When I did it, you went to MK, MGM (not sure about Epcot, some years back), and some resorts. :thumbsup2

My mom and I did this tour in 2003. It was wonderful! We went to World Showcase before it opened so we were the only ones there, went to AK Lodge to see the tree, went to GF, went to BC (or BW, can't remember which) to see the amusement park made out of mostly chocolate, went to MK and to the warehouse where all the decorations and trees are stored and made. We met the "staff" of about 20 people who do all the work! We got a special pin and an ornament. I definitely think it was work the money.

How did you get from place to place during the tour...Disney transportation?

It says you don't need park admission for this tour, but do you actually go into the parks at all?

Do you see the Osborne Family lights during this tour?

I went on this tour last December and you do not need park admission. We met outside guest relations at Epcot and had two guides and a bus just for us. You do go to MGM to see the Osbourne lights but you actually enter from the backstage by the where the big coke bottles are (where you get misted). Then you go back to the bus. You ultimately end up back at Epcot.

Thank you for all the info. Plan on doing a Segway tour one of the days I'm there and thought the Yuletide one would be nice too. Get you in the spirit of the holidays.

One more question. Can you take pictures or video on this tour?

You can't take photos of any backstage areas on any of the tours.

I am looking forward to the "adventure" this year.

I had not heard about them before. My DSis and her Disney traveling friend will at WDW beginning the day after Thanksgiving. When I saw this tour I thought it might be something fun for them to try - they are two 50somethings that travel to Disney without their husbands.... when I checked the age limit I saw it was for 16 and over (which I understand...) so that left at my DD. I spoke to my Dsis and we are going to do it just the three adults on 11/27. I can get to EPCOT by the 8:45 time after dropping DD off at school, and get back home in time to pick her up.

DSis is making ressies today as she had the Disney Visa, and that is a 20% discount which is better than the 15% AP discount which we both have!!!! I called last evening and they currently had 10 spaces open for that day..... :woohoo:

We did it a couple years ago. It was great - definitely worth the money. You see lots of cool stuff, get free ornaments and limited edition pins too! We started at the unopened WS in Epcot, then MGM, MK, GF, and the warehouse. It really is a great tour.

Pictures can be taken onstage on all tours, backstage (when I took the tour, actually encouraged) only on the Train tour.

Thanks for all the info. Will sign up for this soon. Thought it would be a fun tour to see all the decorations and how they put it all together. :santa: :santa: :santa:

Hmmm, perhaps I may be doing two tours in Dec...the Yuletide Fantasy as well as KTTK tour.

When I asked about this tour a couple years ago, people reported widely varying opinioins depending on which tour guide they got. Apparently, some of the tour guides weren't very knowledgeable. As a result, I've been reluctant to take this tour. Maybe I'll consider it next December. Will those of you who go this year please post a review of it when you get back? Thanks.

My DSIS made the ressies for our little "girls group" to go on 11/27! I will post back after that time... I will take pictures where allowed!!!!

I am excited about this -- especially going with GROWN UP people. I do WDW with DD9 all the time. She is a little "upset" that she can't go on this.... she loves finding out the behind the scenes kind of stuff. - The how do they do that's etc.
