Yuck! Water Park Traffic Jams

I love Disney's water parks, but is there a way to avoid those Mid-Summer Traffic Jams when they close them down due to T-storms? Have you ever sat there waiting to get out of the parking lot for, oh, (being generous) about a half hour?

Well, anyone with a good story at least ?

I completely understand what you're talking about! DH and I did get stuck in one of those AWFUL traffic jams last summer. It was a horrible storm, and everyone went running from the park at the same time. We probably sat there for almost an hour, inching out of the lot. I think by the time we actually turned out of the parking lot the sun was back out!!! It was total insanity. I think next time, we will just hunker down under cover in the park somewhere and wait out the storm...

ARe you up for an opposite story? Last summer the water parks were full and closing to new guests creating HORRIBLE traffic near Blizzard Beach. DH and I were trying to get to Downtown Disney from BWV to shop. Of course we missed the first bus, then had to go through t he now closed BB parking lot, then navigate the traffic mess. I kid you not, it took 75 minutes to get to the Marketplace. DH swore we'd never go without our own van again!!!
