So my husband said he would make dinner. I am exhausted so I say fine go ahead.

WRONG ANSWER.

I was very happy and thankful he took dinner duty off my hands.
Now, not so much.

He took the chicken breasts and butterflied them, coated them in spices and cooked them on a grill pan.

I thought this was great, until halfway through my small piece (maybe 1/3 of a breast) when I realized it was still clearish and kind of slick feeling to my finger. Who knows if I actually ate any that looked like that. I know at least 90% of the piece was white and fully cooked.

FREAKING wonderful.

So there isn't much I can do but wait at this point.

I asked him, did you use the meat thermometer, but no of course not. And this is from someone who had salmonella so bad he lost 23 pounds and spent at a week in the hospital.

Saying my prayers that the bird I was eating didn't have the germs on it.

Twice my hubby has served up half cooked/half frozen turkey on Thanksgiving! I can't imagine why his mother insists on holiday meals at their house now!

I ate part of an uncooked hamburger from Steak n Shake last week. I spent last week waiting to die:sick:...it didn't happen! :cool1:

I would imagine that you are going to be fine. Most likely it was cooked to some degree.

Your hubby cooks the Thanksgiving turkey? Not criticizing, just asking ;)

Yep, I cook dinner every night but he handles the Thanksgiving turkey. Just always has. I have never made one in our 16 years of marriage. That leaves room for me to create a multitude of side dishes. Apart from the frozen mishaps, he usually does a great job.

I still get to do all of the cleanup though!

Thanks for the nice memory:goodvibes That was how it was at my house up until my dad died. Mom cooked everyday but Thanksgiving was all my dad:thumbsup2 Always went well except once he had the oven on broil instead of bake:rotfl:

I'm sure you'll be fine. Funny though you brought this subject up as last night I cooked some Pesto marinated breast from Trader Joes and after I removed them from the pan discovered they were still a little un-cooked inside. I'm a real weirdo when it comes to not eating under cooked poultry so I threw them back in the pan for a few more minutes-didn't care if they turned out dry, which they actually where delicious and cooked all the way!:thumbsup2
