My ride to Hollywood Studios. . .

Yep. My own bus.

All to myself.
I had that too one morning! I also took a picture of it. :)

Just tell me how the stand by was already 40 min?
Welcome to Toy Story Mania.

I love this queue:

I LOVED the old Candy Land game. I wish I could buy the version that I had for my son.

Great picture!

It still didn't change one fact: Epcot is a beautiful park!

IMG_0566.jpg
This picture is even prettier than the last one. Beautiful! I love love love Epcot.

I had lunch at the Cantina in Mexico. I still feel ill everytime I think of it. I would honestly prefer Taco Bell or the like. I hope with the rennovations, they also rennovate the food there.
You and me both.

Hi! :goodvibes

Just wanted to do a quick drop-in to let you know I subbed and will be reading up. I'm the person from the crashed boards thread froma few days back. :flower3:

Well how disappointing to read of your experience at the Cantina!....I hope the food at San Angel is different [better]. :scared:

Again, fantastic photos! But the wait times??!....not so much! Like TK, I too am spoiled by going in September. The crowd calendar for my May trip is pretty low so I'm hopeful it'll be more what I'm used to. Mem. Day weekend last year was busy but manageable and it should be quieter earlier in the month. If I ever want to see the Christmas decorations, I'm going the week right after Thanksgiving!!

Don't you just love Epcot?? That might be my favorite park....:wizard:

And I still wish I was staying at POFQ!!!!!!!!!!!!:sad1:

.

I love BC and WL! Can't wait to hear/see your experience.

It'll be up in a couple of days!

140 minutes for Test Track!? I don't think I've waited that long in all the times I've been on it combined!

Fantastic pictures of your resort. We're looking into POR or CBR for our next trip. It's still all up in the air.

I love POR, and could go on and on about POR.

I would never stand in line that long. I wonder who would. . .

I had that too one morning! I also took a picture of it. :)

Great picture!

I love Candyland, too. My daughter had it--it seems like Toys R Us sells it.

This picture is even prettier than the last one. Beautiful! I love love love Epcot.

You and me both.

I love Epcot, too!

Hi! :goodvibes

I remember you! :welcome

Thanks for hopping in and subbing!

First, San Angel Inn was terrible. I think the bright spot there was the churro. Seriously.

As far as those wait times go, they were horrible, and it was about this point that I realized that I'd rather be there in the summer months.

Epcot is awesome--MK is still my favorite, but Epcot comes in a close second

You can always visit POFQ!!!

I'm all up to speed! :goodvibes

I was there a week or two before solo (and some not-so-solo time) and I just loved it.

re: clowns
I don't like them at all. Or dolls. Or anything with a face. They just seem creepy.

I stayed at POFQ during my first solo trip last March and thereby started my love for Disney. I'm a very late bloomer.

re: falling/heights
yep, same here. It's not heights per se, but a security issue with me. I don't do open air high ride (ie: most roller coasters). As long as I'm secure, I'm fine, if I'm not, I just don't like it and don't enjoy it. Just the way it is. :confused3

re: park hoppers
I've done with and, the last trip, without. I really depends on the schedule and finances. I do like the freedom of park hoppers. :thumbsup2

I'm enjoying your trip report alot! And those pictures are AWESOME. :goodvibes :lovestruc

Great updates!!! We did evening emh's in AK also...it's like a whole different park at night!! So beautiful!

I'm so glad you pointed out your TR to me. I'm really enjoying reading about your trip and getting to see how your pictures turned out.

Thanks for complimenting my girls! We loved meeting you at Epcot. You're not the only one who missed that TGM meet for Illuminations that night. DH was exhausted so we headed "home" after our early dinner and a couple KP missions.

We were originally supposed to go to DHS that same day but changed it for MK when we had to cancel MK the day before due to DD12 getting sick from the Wave. You just missed having company on that bus. I'm surprised we didn't see each other at the bus stop that morning (we didn't, did we?).

Great TR!!!!

Thanks--I have just a few fears, and for some odd reason, they are all touched on at Disney. The thought that they are changing the Barnstormer to be a clown coaster. . .:scared1:

As far as park hoppers go, I love them by myself--not so much with the kids.

Thanks for the compliments on my photos.:goodvibes

I love AK at night!

Thanks for letting me tag along with you all at Epcot. It was so much fun, and I loved meeting them. They were so awesome. I hated missing the meet, but it was nice to pick a spot with my tripod.

Rats about missing the company--it would have been nice to make the mad rush to Toy Story Mania with you all. Because I know that's what you would ahve been doing. ;)

I don't think we saw each other at the bus stop that day, but I think there was some toher time I saw ya'll--maybe it was that night as I was getting on the bus to Downtown Disney--I don't know where you were going, but I know I was trying to figure out the best way to go to the Beach Club and decided I would take the next bus to either DTD, Epcot, or Hollywood Studios.

wow! that's crazy how a week earlier when I was there the waits were half those and not bad at all! I'll keep that in mind if I ever think about going xmas week. Just working during that time and seeing the crowds kept me away from the parks from mid Dec till the 2nd week of Jan hehe.

Yes--there was an unmistakeable upturn in the crowd levels that week! The difference between that week and the week before was unreal!

All caught up again...you're going to be visiting WL in the next update? I smell a visit to MK coming up! :rolleyes1

Ah, naptime! As babies we fought it. As toddlers we crashed. As kindergarteners, we laid on the mat next to pur best friend trying to whisper and counting to 100 because surely at the end of 100 naptime would be over.

As adults, we long for it. What is it about childhood that makes us think something interesting is going to happen in the 30 minutes we are napping? And why, as adults do we have so much stacked on our plates that a nap is not even attainable? Even on vacation.

Oh, how I didn't want that nap! My hours at Disney were limited. My car was not yet packed. NO! Oh, gods of naptime, please don't take over!

Remember the last time I left all of you, I was trudging around the World Showcase after nursing a migraine the night before. Which could be because of the flash photographer on Pirates of the Caribbean. That certainly was the trigger.

I'd also admit fatigue was a big portion of the problem.

So, as I trudged into Port Orlean-French Quarter for my last nap, I stopped first by Jackson Square gifts and got another roll of tape to wrap my ankle, which was throbbing as well. I walked slowly to the room, savoring every last minute that was mine at POFQ. And, no, no pictures. I wanted my last moments to remain unburdened by a camera.

I collapsed on the bed, setting my cell phone to go off exactly 30 minutes later after removing my contacts. And I slept like a log.

Or a bear.

Either way--I slept.

When I got up, I made sure the tape was secure over my ankle, took a couple of Advil, put in my contacts, and proceeded to the bus stop to take me to the first bus I could hop on with a second destination of Beach Club for dinner at Cape May. The plan was to take Downtown Disney, Epcot, or Hollywood Studios, whichever came first.

Which was Downtown Disney. My layover in DTD was short, as I got off the bus, the bus for the Beach Club was pulling up. So I went on over, 30 minutes early for my 5:15 ADR.

I decided to pull out the camera:

Walking to the Beach Club, where incidentally, the bus stop is far from the entrance!

Ginergerbread castle in the lobby--can I say, all of these resorts with the gingerbread smelled so good!

Did they really need this sign? I mean, some of these displays had been up for over a month by now!

A tree in the lobby--so pretty!

I stepped out to take some pictures, as well. THese are some of my favorites:

:cloud9: So pretty!

I had dinner, then took the bus over to Magic Kingdom, jumped off, and went over to the Wilderness Lodge. I knew this was so pretty during Christmas, and I could not pass up a visit. As this was my last night, it was my last chance.

As I got into the WL, there was a high school choir singing Christmas carols.

I love how open and airy WL is. . .dh has to see this place in May. I think we're going to do a little resort hopping on our first day.

And the tree. . .just beautiful!

Now, I love the look of WL, but I still love POR and POFQ more. I guess living for some time in a log home has kind of taken the nostalgia from it.

But is was still gorgeous!

Coming up. . .last evening, what will I do?

WOOHOO! Thanks for posting about the WL! We love it and are staying in Dec :goodvibes I am sure the chior sounded just wonderful in that open lobby :cloud9:

I still want to check out POR! We will have to resort hop when we go too :thumbsup2

The choir was beautiful, it really was!

POR is an awesome place--and real easily to resort hop to if you go to Downtown Disney!

That sign was too hilarious for it's own good. I thought you'd like the phjotos of Wilderness Lodge as well.

As far as the last night goes, I won't be too long--I want to get this Trip Report finished soon.

Christmas is really something that should be experienced at Disney. And I agree with those pictures at the Beach Club. I hope in June to get some pictures of my kids there around sunrise or sunset.

nice pics of WL!! When we were there in Dec, we didnt' see any groups singing! I figured we'd see some since we had a rental car and went out the front door to get the car but I guess we just missed them and missed the singing times! That group looked very nice!
