Just returned from our first visit to the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. We were able to rent points and stay in a studio in the villas. Since this is a not a trip report board, I won't go into details, but would like to say a couple things about the resort.

When we arrived in our room, there was only 2 wash clothes, 2 hand towels and 3 bath towels. Our ressie was for three. On our next trip to the lobby we asked for another wash cloth and bath towel to be sent to our room. My DH was told by guest service that there would be an additional charge for extra towels since we were in the villas. Okay, we needed at least one towel and was cloth each, so....live and learn. When we returned to our room later in the evening, mousekeeping had left an extra 6 of each on our table. More than we wanted, but we figured if we had to pay for them........... Upon check out, my DH complained that there should have been at least one towel and wash cloth per guest. The CM looked and said there was NOT an extra charge on our bill. Yeah!

We were probably about as close to the bus loop as you can get and never heard them.

We had two breakfasts at WCC and both times were very nice. The CMs were great. We all wish they would rethink the hasbrown! My DS and I wanted ice cream around 11:15 one night. We went to Roaring Forks and ended up talking with the CM at the cash register for @ 15 mintues. She is a newer cast member and loves WL.

Every CM we ran in to was so nice. I was in a wheelchair due to foot surgery, so I'm not sure if it is the nature of the resort or if it was the wheelchair.

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

I think it's the CM's.

I was just at WL for the first time and the service was fantastic everywhere I went. From Check-in to Mousekeeping, it was magical.

My Uncle is a DVC member at VWL and he has raved about them (and WL) for years. This was my first visit and I will be back, it was great.

You are supposed to get 4 bathtowels, two washcloths and two handtowels at the DVC resorts in a studio or one bedroom. You were lucky.

We had the same thing happen last March at VWL. There were only 2 towels, 1 wash rag and 1 hand towel. I expected to have 4 of each. We called and they completed the sets with no charge.

Hi,
We will be staying at the WL in 8 days. YIPEEEE! I am in a powerchair. I understand that wheelchairs can only use the boat if the water is just right ie. not too low or high. Were you able to use the boat or did you have to take the bus or your car? Any other tips for someone in a wheelchair? Thanks, Kim:jumping1: :jumping1:

I was able to drive on to one of the larger boats. You have to make sure the CM is watching the level when people are boarding. When getting off, I did have to wait for everyone to exit so that the boat was high enough and level with the dock. The buses were a breeze, with the monorail being the easiest to enter and exit.
