"You're going again!?"

We hear it all the time too....lucky for me my DH just lets me do as I please... my DD and DS LOVE going (ages 17 and 14) and I have a flexible work schedule. What bothers me is when people say things to my kids.... last year I did take my DD and her friend to NYCity for a weekend to see a musical. For what it cost me for 2 nights in a hotel, the musical tickets, the rain ride there and food I could have spent 4 days in Disney....

I was going to put off telling my mother (who is negative about EVERYTHING) for a little while, but my kids spilled the beans. To my incredible surprise, she said that your kids are only young once. I don't care if people think it's crazy. People who don't love WDW have probably never been or given it a real chance.

I here you ALL! I've gone to disney every year in a row for the past four or five years and I'm going again this year. When friends ask most of them react in the same way. AGAIN...you're going AGAIN?! don't you get bored?

I think my heart stops for a second when they say that.

Finally-some people who think like I do!
We just took a wonderful 10 day trip at Christmas...then I got the 40% off card in the mail a few weeks ago...well, I'm booked for August! I just can't pass up the savings!
I'm dreading that people will find out and think I'm crazy! My parents never seem to understand...we were there in Dec. 2004 and they couldn't believe that we went in Dec. 2006-they are NEVER going to understand this August trip!

Funny thing-they go every year on two different vacations, the same two weeks, same two places year after year-somehow that isn't crazy though...

I get that mostly at work, especially now that i have gone to Disney in August, Dec, going next week, in Sept and Dec. Wait till I tell them I am going in Sept and Dec. They all think I'm crazy, the older I get the more I go.
I live about an hour from the Jersey shore and everybody I know goes down the shore at least a couple times a year. I guess i should start saying to them you're going down the shore again?

And as my ole pappy used to say, "if everybody just liked hamburger, there wouldn't BE no hotdog."

I know folks who spend thousands every year to go skiing. Others who go to the Bahamas every year. Me? I wanna go to WDW. Especially while by DD is young enough to appreciate it. I remeber the magiv of going to the Magic Kingdom back in the early 70's (when that is ALL thewre was), and if I can let my daughter experience that, well... what dad wouldn't love that?

At Bunco tonight I was quietly telling my partner about our upcoming surprise trip to Disney. She is somewhat of a Disney lover, so I didn't feel to bad about telling her. Then my friend, who overheard me talking says "You're going again??!!". What do ya say when people have that kind of reaction? I just kind of smiled sweetly, shrugged my shoulders and said "yup, we love it there!"

So, I'm doing a happy dance, but after tomorrow, it will be just two months!!

I say thats where we like to vacation.

i get that reply so often from people. i had one of my friends tell me that i would seem more at home on my harley then in disney on Dumbo.

even from my own family i had gotten that reply when i told them about my vacation plans. that changed in july 2005 when my brother and his family joined us and we all had a blast!!!

so this christmas when i was discussing my plans for this summer's trip more then once my other siblings remarked to me that we should plan a family trip soon.
