My boss' 16 year old twins came by today. They are sweet girls, but I gotta tell ya' today they were dressed like hookers. One had on a teeny tiny skirt that barely covered her butt, a blouse cut down to her navel, thigh high tights and 4 inch heels. The other one had on a skirt that was just a little longer, tight sweater and slouch boots with a heel. They came to have lunch with mom and then head for the mall. I just don't get it.

:headache: I'm a 15 year old girl and would feel very uncomfortable wearing something like that.

There is no way in heck that my girls would be stepping out like that. Oldest dd is 13, luckily she doesn't like to show any skin.

:scared1: Not appropriate, I have to say!

While at Disney last summer, I saw so many girls wearing short short shorts and tiny skirts; I am not a prude, and I don't think they should wear pants to the floor or anything, but these shorts could best be described as denim underwear. They were so tight and short, it was like they were wearing undergarments. I wondered if their parents saw them before they left their hotel rooms in the morning. :confused3

It always amazes me what some girls wear or allowed to wear. Heck, I saw a sexy witch costume on a 3rd grader this year. At the school halloween parade. :scared1:

One time my eldest Dd6 came down wearing a short skirt and Dh made her go change even though there were built in shorts underneath. :lmao: It's getting harder to find appropriate clothes for her though, since she's graduated from the toddler - size 6 clothes.

i saw some prom photos this year and i was appalled.

it is nothing for teen girls to show four inches of cleavage these days, too. those little spaghetti straps on tanks that come too far down. they think they look so OC. lol

Back when I was a 16 year old boy I loved the parents that let their 16 yo daughters wear such outfits. :cool1::lmao:

So you're the one that all us mom's told our DD's to "stay away from"?? :rotfl:

Yes, and don't worry, they obviously not only got the message but are still doing it just to be safe. :rotfl2:

Awww.. That can't be true.. If you're the fella in your signature, I'm sure you have girls falling all over you..:goodvibes

I know! DD went from size 5-6 to 7, skipped pretty much right through 6x and clothes shopping is such a chore now. I feel like I just walk around the stores going, no, no, no, HECK no! She wants butterflies, unicorns, princesses, and that's definitely harder to find now, it's all skulls and sayings I'm not sure I want plastered on my 7 year old's bottom.

LOL funny thing is these are the girls I ran out of my house when my DS 20 was in high school. ; )

He would never date a girl like that now.. he tends to like the girls that cover up a bit more. At least that is the girls he brings home for us to meet. :rotfl:

I thought it was only my school... I would kill my dd if she even thought about dressing up like some of the kids in her class for halloween... 2nd graders dressed in leather :scared1::scared1::scared1: All the mom's were so proud! I was horrified! :rolleyes1

That is me and I am flattered. I'll add you to the far to short list people who share that opinion. :goodvibes

LOL you can add me to that list too !! HAHA, just what you need an over 35 fan club ;):lmao:.

add me, add me:rotfl: Are you blushing yet firedancer?:rolleyes1

Almost 40 here and I think you're quite handsome :) Sounds like you got the corner on the "older women" ;)

My DD14 loves to wear those teeny little skirts with the pleats; she wears 'em with a pair of leggings and a NORMAL shirt; usually ballet flats or her DC sneakers for shoes. So yeah, she wears the teenies but NOT by themselves and NOT as part of a "ho" ensemble.

It disgusts me that parents let their kids dress like this; these are also probably the same parents who are HORRIFIED when they hear their kid was propositioned (or worse) by an adult. WHAT are they expecting when their kid looks like she's for rent??? :confused3

add me to the list too FireDancer.... dern!

what was this thread about anyway??? lol!!

yes, firedancer, you've developed a fan club :) if the girls aren't chasing you, they're missing out.
now, back to the OT, my DH would ground my daughter for life for wearing one of those hooker outfits. halloween was a nightmare-i found ONE costume that would be appropriate, and thankfully, she liked it (50's girl with poodle skirt). she wears jeans with cute shirts (nothing even remotely low-cut), capri pants, culottes...her school's dress code is fairly strict, thank goodness, and their required PE clothes are modest (t-shirt and basketball shorts).
