DH and I are planning on surprising my DMother tomorrow. She knows we're coming over with DS,but sssh! We've got a secret.

He's started walking and she doesn't know it yet. He's only been doing it for a few days..a week at the most and he's not GREAT at it yet,but he's getting better every day.


DMIL also doesn't know he can walk yet..she hasn't seen him in over a week and the last time she saw him,he was taking two or three steps but that was it.

Now he walks all over the living room and the backyard when we take him outside.I'm sure he'll be running by Christmas.

Congrats to the new walker! That will be fun for your family to see. My son decided he finally wanted to walk while we were at Disney. So when we got home, we didn't tell my family he was walking, just let him walk into the house by himself... lol.

Oh it was hilarious.

When we got to my mom's house yesterday morning around 11:30,we set him down on his hands and knees. He immediately crawled over to the coffee table,pulled up a nd walked off after his cousin Kittykate who'd wandered in and then out again. My mom's jaw hit the floor.

We did the same thing when we finally arrived at DMIL's place around 3:30ish in the afternoon.He toddled off after IttyBitty (his other cousin) and my MIL was like "I didn't know he could do that!"
