OK, here's the scenario. DW, DD, friend of DD, and myself are taking a quick trip to WDW in a few weeks. I think we've eaten virtually everywhere on property, and except for a horrendous experience at the Pepper Market, have done just fine.

So, just for kicks, we decided we'd let y'all determine where we'd have our one "signature dining experience." The criteria for your selection is: I'll eat anything but coconut (I don't even like to see a picture of it on a box.) DW just can't, for the life of her, eat seafood. DD is like her daddy ... she'll try anything (she's 19). Friend of DD is fairly picky ... doesn't do much anything with marinara sauce, for instance, but will eat meats and seafood as long as they're simply prepared.

Armed with this knowledge, pick out somewhere for us to eat. We'll abide by your choice. I promise.

And, if you've got a spare minute, explain your choice! Thanks!

I haven't eaten at any of these...but from what I've heard Yachtsman Steakhouse is fabulous!!!!

This is really cool..letting other people decide...you will definately have to give us feedback when you return...have a great time!

I picked California Grill. If you go, pick a time when during Wishes so you can experience it in the restaurant. I have always wanted to do that!

I voted for Yachtsman because I remember it was a good meal and fairly straightforward menu if I remember correctly. We have eaten at California Grill, Artist Point and Flying Fish, and all have been great. However, a lot of the entrees involve seafood or gourmet preparations where you have to throw caution to the wind and have faith in the chef. Not always for the non-adventurous. Just my opinion.
Have a wonderful dinner and trip!

Yachtsman all the way.

The food is excellant.....the BREAD to die for....and the dessert sampler platter? :faint: :faint: :faint:

I voted for Artist Point.

Reasons:
I love going to the Wilderness Lodge.
The smell inside the Wilderness Lodge is great.
I love a good Buffalo Steak.
Berry Cobbler.
The sounds of the Wilderness Lodge.
Afterwards, you can go watch the geyser, then take the boat to Magic Kingdom.

Another vote for Artist Point. We love this place! DH and I can be picky eaters at times but we never have problems finding something we like here. Also, they are pretty accomodating about switching side items if a meal comes with something one of us doesn't like. Yes, there are a few unusual menu choices but nothing too out there.

Try the berry cobbler. YUM.

I've eaten at the Yachtsman too. Don't get me wrong, the food there is fabulous. IMHO there's just something a little more special about Artist Point.

My vote is for CG. We love all of these rest. for dinner. My first choice is always AP, but the CG has more of a menu for picky eaters. It's the only TS meal our DS has with us. He orders a flat bread. So if the girls don't see anything they like they can have one of these. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Well, I would decide, but I haven't eaten at any of those!

I voted for California Grill, but Jiko and Artist Point were close. All those restaurants are top-notch, but being a California girl I do favor the Grill.

Do be aware that restaurants of this caliber, especially at Disney, are happy to cater to your individual taste. I'm a vegetarian who doesn't eat mushrooms, and I have absolute confidence that even if I can't find something directly from the menu, they will work to accomodate me. Often I can find something right off the menu (notably at Jiko, where I actually have more than one option! This is rarer than you'd think.), and sometimes it is good to just trust the chef. (Last time I was at CG, I had a dish that involved tofu, and even the members of my party who don't normally eat it loved it.)

My point here is that you don't have to worry about your party being picky, because your server and chef will help you find something for everyone.

I voted Yachtsman because compared to the others it's middle of the road. Since you have two (somewhat) picky eaters with you it might not be a bad idea.
