Beach club is nice, too, but we prefer the YC.

Have yet to try CR (will definitely book that MK view!)

GF is on our list -would love to try concierge there

#1 AKL - it has just captured my heart. I feel like I'm in paradise when I am there. I Love EVERYTHING about this resort - the themeing, the kids' activities, Jiko, Love the animals and the lush landscaping...love the rooms!

#2 GF - this used to be the only place we ever stayed and it is still DD's favorite. Beautiful place with lots of energy and you are "right there"; lovely rooms, great beach, lobby, dining - plus I love its Spa

#3 Polynesian - fell in love with this resort as soon as I finally decided to try it Beautiful landscaping, best views on Disney property, IMO. The new rooms are GORGEOUS

#4 BWI - I have only stayed concierge level here so I've been spoiled but this is a very nice place and the proximity to Epcot blew me away

#5 WL - stayed here only once and I was VERY impressed. It has an amazing atmosphere. Gorgeous views of the lake...

#1 BWV love the 1bdr villa and what a great location and view.
Whirlpool tub and kitchen are what did it for me,.

#2 BC great location, great pool.

#3 YC great location, great pool.

#4 AKL great theme and loved looking at the animals in the morning.

#5 GF as a couple not a family. Romantic and great location.

#1 WL best themeing, love the look and feel, new rooms, great food, boat to mk is special
#2 Poly themeing, new rooms, great pool, lagoon views are amazing, kona and ohana, monorail
#3 GF love the alice rooms, good pools, monorail, the tea is great, walk to poly, the lobby is beautiful, the beach, the spa
#4 CR new rooms, MK tower views are one of the best in WDW, walk to mk, monorail, i love chef mickeys and concourse steakhouse
#5 AKL themeing, animals out the window, great food, great pool, direct buses to almost everywhere
With 2 small kids we tend to stay in the MK area and that influences us. We have tried the epcot resorts but they just arent the same for us.

5... WL Nice theme but it's a huge drop in my mind from 1-4.

1: GF- location, very romantic and beautiful, views, spoils me! this is where I feel the disney magic most!
2: Poly- location, theme is cool, views, pool
3: Yacht club- pool, theme, elegance, close to Epcot and other resorts
4: WL- beautiful lobby, beautiful views, very peaceful feeling
5: AKL- very unique and "fun" but dont like the theme much

5. Tie between WL, AKL, and GF. To us, WDW is MK so although we like Epcot and may someday stay at an Epcot resort, while our kids are young, it's a MK resort or nothing. Theming at AKL and GF were less to our liking than the Poly's theme and WL seemed very nice but we really like being on the monorail.

Um.. AKL because it is the only deluxe we have ever stayed in?? LOL LOL I do hope to get a chance to visit some of the other resorts during our trip in December.

Only have stayed in 3...

1) Poly, only once, but was our only family trip, great memories. Great theming, CM's, location.

2) Swan, location, staff, bright and airy.

3) Dolphin, same reasons as Sawn, but a bit too big for me.

1. GF - beautiful rooms and grounds; nice views from rooms; staff is very friendly and helpful; lot of choices for restaurants
2. BWI - love the atmosphere and the location; like how quiet room area is although Boardwalk is busy; good restaurants
3. AKL - love watching animals from the balcony in room; DH loves the darkness of the resort; lot of detail in resort; like that you feel like you're away from everything
4. YC - great location and pool; like that it was quiet
5. Poly -great location and theme

The only deluxe I haven't tried is BC.

Awful? I don't think you have much to worry about. If you're in the tower, you'll have a renovated room with the best view in WDW. Even if you're in the wings, which is where I've always stayed there, the rooms in the South wing are renovated. If you haven't seen the pictures you should, they're amazing looking.

You also have the monorail at your fingertips, can walk to MK if you want, and if you have kids, the arcade and Chef Mickey's should be a big hit.

There are other little things too but there are too many to mention. I think the biggest criticism I've heard on these boards is that its appearance seems outdated. I would totally agree with the older looking rooms but the recent renovations solves that problem.

1. Beach Club - decor .. closeness to Epcot.. Stormalong Bay.. beautiful common areas.. Beaches and Cream

2. Boardwalk - restaurants .. closeness to Epcot .. decor.. strolling the Boardwalk

3. AKL - the animals .. Boma! .. the wonderful theming.. the gift shop.. friendly CMs

4. Yacht Club - same as BC, but we like the decor at BC just a touch better .. Yachtsman Steakhouse

5. Grand Floridian - we haven't stayed there yet, but will soon! a beautiful hotel with wonderful decor, landscaping and restaurants

If you can only pick places you have stayed, then my #5 would be the Polynesian.

CR is awesome
the new rooms, flat screnn tvs, one of the largest sq footage
mk tower view is one of the best in wdw
walk to mk
monorail and it runs thru the building
i like the places to eat here alot
good food at chef mickeys, cali grille, concourse steakhouse

AKL waking up early and seeing the animals

GF I haven't stayed there as of yet but it looks like a real upclass hotel with beautiful landscaping

wilderness lodge_ breathtaking yet cozy.

beach club- location, pool, large room size.

AKL- atmosphere. boma. pool is large w/ zero entry

poly- nice location esp in concierge building. monorail is a plus. i like every thing under one roof though.

yatch club- not really us. we are more casual. the decor under whelmed me too.

these are the only one we have experienced so far. can't wait to try more!
