We're going Nov 11th, and will have our 2 boys, 3 and 7 along. Somewhat fussy and restless eaters, however experienced in eating out. What are your 5 top must try restaurants to visit, knowing that we have to go with children. Victoria and Alberts type places are out of course, but we don't want a cafeteria every night. Cool food choices a plus. In fact, good food is the primary consideration, as long as the boys can eat well. (no all escargo & smoke salmon menu's thanks!)
Thanks

This is a little tough for me because our boys are little foodies and love dining out even in the fanciest of restaurants.
For sure 50's Prime time.....good food, great atmosphere, a whole lot of fun. If you like buffets you cant go wrong with Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, or Donalds Safari Breakfast. Biergarten is a buffet of German food which is really good and has a great atmosphere. One of our favorites is Jiko, it is one of the nicer restaurants. It has delicious African food (not weird at all) and is a bit on the fancy side. If you think it is too upscale for your boys there is Boma right next door. It is also African food but is a buffet and has kiddie things like chicken fingers and Mac & Cheese. Boy that is a lot of buffets! I will just throw out there a few more (non-buffets) Ragland Road, Yak & Yeti, Sci-fi dine in, Mama Melrose, Beaches & Cream, & Chefs de France.
Take a look at the menus and dont be afraid of Disney nicer restaurants, its WDW they expect children.
Good Luck!!!

Funny -- that's what I was going to say! :lmao: My DD8 acts better at fancy restaurants than casual ones. We are going to Victoria and Albert's and she is jealous!

That being said, her six favorite restaurants at Disney are Rainforest Cafe, Cinderella's Royal Table, Crystal Palace, Chefs de France, California Grill, and The Wave. I would also say 50s Prime Time Cafe is a family favorite!

1.Crystal palace- The kids have a blast with the parade ( we go every year)
2. Biergarten in Epcot- A lot of fun for the kids and they don't always have to sit and be quiet. My kids ask to go there they have so much fun
3. Chef Mickey- This is a classic
4. Whispering Canyon Cafe'- Always a hoot for the whole family.
5. Garden Grill- My kids love the land ride and love the fact that the restaurant turns and you see different parts of the ride.

DD7 says:

Crystal Palace - she gets a kick out of having her own buffet

Whispering Canyon - what can you say? chicken tenders and entertainment for her

Sci-Fi - obsessed with the atmosphere and milkshakes

'Ohana - atmosphere, good food for the parents, and child friendly options. Plus coconut races and hula dancing

CRT - hellooooooo...it's the castle. I think the food is not good anymore, but she doesn't notice.

Just another vote for Sci-Fi, my DD 4 loved it last time. We're going again in Nov.
Also, Teppan Edo is entertaining too.

1. Kona
2. LeCellier
3. Coral Reef.
4. Royal Ank - Norway Princess Breakfast
5. Ohanas

As a kid, I loved (and still do!)

1. Crystal Palace
2. Hoop-de-Doo Review
3. CRT (okay, I just did this at 19, but I felt and acted like an 8 year old..that counts right?!)
4. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre
5. 'Ohana

:tink: Boma

:dumbo: O'Hana for breakfast with Stitch

:dumbo: Chef Mickey's

:tigger: Whispering Canyon Cafe

Haven't been yet, but we have 3 boys- 7, 5, 3 and 1 girl- 22 months when we go. and these are the places we have ADR's for:

Donald's Breakfast- Tusker House
CRT (mainly for my own enjoyment:rotfl: for DD too, although she will be too young to appreciate it like me! )
Sci-Fi ( I think the boys will LOVE eating in a car)
Princess Storybook (for me and DD)
Chef Mickey's
Rainforest Cafe at AK breakfast
Hopefully T-Rex !!:worship:
Crystal Palace

Good luck and Have Fun!!

I also have 2 boys, mine are 4 and 3. Here are some restaurants they love:

1. Crystal Palace
2. Garden Grill
3. Chef Mickey's
( I know all 3 of these are buffets and character dining, but we love it b/c we see characters so less time waiting in lines under the sun, and b/c there are lots of kids and noise so if they get a little rowdy it won't be as noticible;))
4. LeCellier
5.O'hana

Good luck and happy dining!

I also vote for Chef Mickeys and Ohana. We had a great time last year at the Spirit of Aloha dinner show, they really involved our kids. People have been going back and forth about the show/food but we liked both. A lot of people like Whispering Canyon Cafe, they do many fun things with the entire family, but we thought the food was horrible. I am chalking it up to just being there on an off night as so many others give it raves.

Chef Mickey's (Breakfast) Dinner was ok. But food wasn't that good. However the show is worth it for the kids. My boys love it everytime. They are ages now 6 & 10.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ great character interaction and the food was good.

SciFi Cafe food is excellent, plus you get to watch a movie and sit in a car & eat. The kids get a big thrill out of it.

Cinderalla's Royal Table we did breakfast and the food was excellent and the boys loved all the attention from the ladies!!! I think it's a must do at least once.

Hoop Dee Doo Review excellent show and a lot of laughs.

Enjoy!!!
