We have stayed at many onsite resorts but we've never tried the BWV and I'm considering it for our next stay. Any pros/cons or good/bad experience there?

We stayed there this summer for the first time and we loved it. You can't beat the location and the resort is just beautiful. Book and enjoy!

We've stayed there 3 times and we love it. The proximity to Epcot and MGM can't be beat. They have a wide variety of restaurants ranging from the ESPN Club to the upscale Flying Fish. Decent nightlife with Jellyrolls, Big River Brewery and ESPN in addition to some limited entertainment on the Boardwalk itself.

The downside--really no true counter service restaurant. They have a walk up pizza window and an outdoor fast food location with a limited menu, but it would be nice to have a Roaring Forks or Mara type location. Restaurants are out on the Boardwalk. If it's raining it can be a bummer. It's never bothered me, but others here on the DIS have complained about it. The hallways are long and if you have a room in a distant wing, it can be a long way to the elevators. Not a big deal to us, but again others here have mentioned that so I thought I would pass that along.

We like the theming and the themed pool area is fun. Good luck deciding.

:Pinkbounc We just stayed there over the New Year's holiday. Could not think of anything negative to say about it. We've only stayed in the MK area previously, so this was a new location for us.

We have stayed at the BWV's multiple times..we absolutely love it. Location, restaurant options, atmosphere..all excellent.

check out the DVC Threads on the board. You can get opinions about the Villas, and there is even a "Rent Points" section. It can be cheaper than paying cash, going rate seems to be $10/point.

My only comment is to stay near the elevator if you can. It's a long resort.

Have Fun

We've stayed at BWV twice, and I love it! Awesome resort! We've had 2BR villas, and they are spacious and very comfortable! You'll love the place!

Both times, we were about at the very end of the hall, and we did not mind the walk at all. It really isn't as long as it sounds.

Enjoy!

Can't beat the location!
It can be a long walk to the pool and lobby, would be the only con

We stayed at the BWV, in a BW view, for the first time last week. Gotta say that although this was my 19th trip to WDW, this was the first time I was so totally blown away by how beautiful the view was. I had a hard time dragging myself back from my balcony to go to the parks, or to go to sleep. So I came home exhausted! The only bad part-I agree with the others here-the hallways can be so long-I felt like one of those rats in the little maze going down the little hallways with all the twists and turns. But boy, what a prize in the view I got at the end!
