Living near the casinos in AC I have been to their buffets several times I have seen people sneak out with cookies and other small pieces of fruit but never a whole pineapple so what did he carry it around all day? I can imagine this guy walking around MGK all day holding his pineapple.

He put it in his backpack! LOL So now everytime we go to Disney and we see a pineapple on the buffet, the thought crosses our mind, Hmmm that would be YUMMY snack one night, but we dont have the guts to take it!

Some of the non-Disney TS (Wolfgang Puck) let you order whatever you want on the Dining plan but charge a fixed price. Wolfgang charges $35 per diner last year and they tip the waitstaff only on the $35. I found out about this on my first visit last year and left a bigger tip since we had good service and the true charge would have been much higher. On the second trip, we got the same waiter, I asked about the policy and gave him an extra $10 right then and there.

My wife complimented the flat bread and spinach & cheese dip. Later, we asked for our desserts to go. When we got back to the room, we had our desserts and an order of the flat bread and dip.

Do you have a secret or a tip about using the disney dining plan? Have you found a spectacular deal using a snack credit? Have you used your DDP credits creatively or is there a goodie out there in the parks, resorts, etc. that we wouldn't normally think of purchasing (esp. snack credits!)

We plan to share an early counter service for either breakfast or lunch, have an early ts dinner & then share another cs later in the evening. That way we get to try more places & not be so full going on rides after eating a whole cs meal. Although I'm sure we'll be stuffed after our ts meals. We say we're not gonna get dessert every night but we all know how that goes

So YES you can leave with the fruit off of the buffet!

The fact that he stole the display and the CM's didnt say anything does not mean it is okay to do so.

One would think that decorations, silverware, tables etc are not part of the buffet...but Ive been wrong before.

We've been on cruises where they use food for garnishes & decorations like radish roses & such & I've taken them to eat..remember in the movie You've Got Mail when Tom Hanks took the caviar & Meg Ryan got all upset because she said it was a garnish...seems a shame to waste it.

I wouldn't compare it to silverware or other inedible decorations

I say if you can eat it and it is on a buffet it's fair game. I wouldn't of had the nerve to take the whole pineapple but would have loved to be there to witness it.

Me too! I must say that one time on a cruise I took a chocolate house off the chocolate lover's buffet & my neice & I ate that baby..yummo

You should get them to carve it for you & maybe take a loaf of bread or a basket of rolls

Here's one I just remembered from someone else, that is especially good if you have picky kids. At the (McDonald's) Refreshment Port in Epcot, near Canada, one CS credit will get you a 10 piece McNugget meal with fries, a soda and a McFlurry. This could easily be split between two (or three) young kids. Then mom and dad can get a CS lunch somewhere else in WC, where the kids would not normally want to eat.

Dang....making mental note.

DizGeek be careful when taking that Roast Beef. You will need someone else in your party to run interference. Those are guarded with knife wielding CM's.

Don't forget the bottles of ketchup and mustard to take back for a nice sandwich later.

Get the refillable mugs, then, for breakfast refill the mugs and use a snack credit. If you use a counter service credit at resort use get drinks in bottles and then use the refillable mugs to drink with the emal, that way you have drinks for later.
