....Also, with the gratuity extra, regardless the increase (if any) in the meal prices (maybe they decreased, not sure), that would be a 15-20% increase over last year, a healthy one to say the least.
I did send an email to Deb's site, to see if she had clarification. Her reply was....
According to the official Disney news release, gratuity is included; tax is not.
So, I guess we will have to wait till the 15th to see what it is, LOL.

My feeling is that since the packages are becoming so popular and with the regular dining packages, Disney needs to help spread the people dining over the entire time since people generally wanted to eat at one given time. This way they force the crowds to be spread out a little more, thus giving more people the opportunity to eat at any of the participating restaurants.

We're getting a package again this year. We do the late show, and usually eat before the show at around 5ish, so the new 'mandated' eating times don't bother us. Since we're on the DDP, the addtl non-covered expenses are a non-issue also. Now, if they tell us it's 2 TS credits, then we'll be paying OOP.
The one thing that drives me crazy with this event is the fact that even though I spent a ton of money on the package, I still have to wait in that horrendous line!!! I've done the CP for the past three years now...every time I have stood there, waiting in line, for at least 45 minutes!!! The line has been huge. I can't imagine trying to get a decent seat without the package. If they keep jacking up the prices, this may be the last package I buy. Perhaps they should start just charging $10 per person to get in that 'package' line, rather than having to buy a dinner package. That's practically what they're doing now!!!

I had already booked Alfredo's and LeCellier for our Epcot evenings with the intention of changing on to a CP package when they came out. I do not like the timing requirements so I will be sticking with our original ADRs.
