They both appeal to me depending on my mood. DH and I like one weekend night w/ friends and one w/ just us. So I didn't vote because they both appeal equally.

I prefer just the two of us. I'm getting a little old for wild times and six or eight people amounts to a crowd for me. It just gets too noisy.

Just the 2 of us. Between kids, work and life in general, we never have enough time alone to just catch up with each other.

We have people at our house pretty much every single day of the week. For us to get time alone is not only rare, but very, very special. I think the last actual date we had (without the kids) was at least four months ago.
So as you can guess, I'll opt for the intimate choice.
