Traditionally, we ALWAYS begin our vaca, waking up the 1st morning to PS's at Chef Mickeys, follwed by MK. I was thinking of trying something different and making ressies for 1900 Park Fare breakfast buffet instead. Any thoughts/suggestions/comments??

Though I've not had CM for breakfast yet (have had dinner), PF has a strong following as the best character breakfast. Most rate the food a notch above the other buffets (omelet station, and PF's famous strawberry soup and maybe bread pudding are there for breakfast too). The characters have always been great for us too. It's a nice mix of face (Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, sometimes Bert) and Pooh characters.

I have only been to CM for dinner. I think if it were me I would go to PF. But it depends on what characters you want to see. If you have been to CM why not try PF this time.

I'm afraid I'm going to make your decision harder - go the 'Ohana for their character breakfast! LOL! The food is standard, served family style, but you'll still get Mickey (in a hawaiin shirt, no less!), chip and Dale, and Goofy. The interaction is great!

We've only eaten at CM and 1900 ate dinner, but based on those meals, would pick 1900 hands down!

Well, if you already been to CM then I would go for PF but have you considered CP? I've been to all three too many times to count and I've always thought CP's food to be much better.

Have you been there yet? I try to get an 8AM seating on a non-EE day to get inside the park early. Although they will not let you through the gates before 8AM.

There are some things to consider. Although PF has Cinderella, I noticed that was all that my DD's cared about and the restaurant itself wasn't very interesting. The atmosphere is much more sedate that CM which is a party.

I'll try to answer any other questions!

Well, if you haven't tried PF then you should. we have eaten there once for the character breakfast. It was good, for some reason, though, I did not like the atmosphere. I just remember a bunch of tables and chairs. CM, on the other hand, is our favorite and we have eaten breakfast there several times. I think you should try PF, but I think you will prefer CM. JMHO! Hope I am not adding to the confusion by going against the above posters!!

I've done both and prefer 1900 Park Fare. I felt the food was a little better (not much, I enjoyed them both).

Another vote for 1900. I haven't been to CM for breakfast, but have been for dinner. 1900 PF is one of my favorites for breakfast or dinner. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed and not rushed and the character interaction is consistently the best I've had at character meals.

....:scratchin interesting comments. Actually, my DS's are older (9 and 16), so it's not too much a matter of a character breakfast, per se. I do so enjoy the atmosphere of CM for breakfast (I'm sure they probably don't twirl their napkins at PF!), and of course, you can't forget the pic in front of the giant plate!

Any other advice??

Chef Mickey's breakfast on our first morning is a do-not-mess-with-it-tradition for our family!
1900 Park Fare is a nice breakfast, though...better, I think, than their dinner.
Have fun no matter what you choose!
