your opinion please!! S.A Girl Guards

My DD has a best friend that belongs to the Salvation Army Girl Guards and wants her to join. My DD really wants to join as well but I don't really know much about them. Can anyone tell me anything about the group??
I know that the Salvation Army is a church and I'm just wondering if we will be pressured into joining the church as well or is this just a youth group thing that DD will enjoy??

Please if anyone knows anything and can advise please do so!?

I didn't answer because I know nothing about them-perhaps this is the case with many other DISers. Personally, I had never heard of them until you posted this.

Have you turned anything up by googling them?
