Your "Must-Do" Restaurant at WDW

We always try new restaurants each trip but we always go to Sunshine Seasons at least once per trip for lunch. Some of our other favorites have been Yachtsman Steakhouse and Flying Fish Cafe. We'll be trying 'Ohana and Boma for the first time next week!!!! Can't wait!!!!

:worship: Will you please email me with a link to where you post your reviews? We go the week after you, and I'd love to read your report! Thank you so much.

Chef Mickey's is our must do restaurant. I know this gets mixed reviews on food quality, and I'll admit the food is mostly mediocre, but with the children aged 9 and 6, this is simply a must do. I put aside my food snobbery, just to see my kids interact with the classic disney characters that come to visit at the table. The smiles on their faces makes up for any shortcomings on food quality.

Dinner at 'Ohana's !

Places you couldn't pay me to go back to: dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe or Mama Melroses.

Hmm, this O'hana's place is sounding like the way to go. We've never been there, obviously. Where is it? What kind of food is it? Is it on the DDP?

It's located in the Polynesian resort. Yes, it is on the DDP.

The food is served family style and is all you can eat. Salad, hawaiian bread, chicken wings, dumplings (pot stickers), lo-mein noodles, broccoli and fire roasted meats such as steak, shrimp and pork. They also bring a variety of dipping sauces. Dessert is an amazing banana bread pudding with vaniall sauce and ice cream...to die for!!

We are eating dinner there 3 times during our 9 night stay next week. Yep, we are obsessed!

That is really interesting! Would you mind telling me why not WCC? I am curious because both 'Ohana and WCC are interactive dining -- what is it about 'Ohana that brings you back and WCC that does not?

We are eating at 'Ohana for the first time this year and looking forward to it.

Thank you so much! :thumbsup2

I have 3:
Coral Reef dinner
Kona Cafe` dinner
Le Cellier lunch or dinner

Boma is good and so is Teppan Edo.

what is it about 'Ohana that brings you back and WCC that does not?

IMO, WCC is annoying. I guess it's more for 5-7 year olds.

The food is also better at `Ohana.

IMO, Kona Cafe has much better food than `Ohana. `Ohana is also for parents with kids. My mom and I were overwhelmed by food. There was alot for 2 people.

I've discovered there are none for me. Had a prime time Le Cellier res and gave it up to see Osborne lights. I Love LC but I can do great steak anywhere. I can't see Osborne lights anywhere. Not having must do's is much less stressful too.

Ohana
Sci Fi
any character breakfast

its really not about the food and more about the atmosphere that makes us feel like we are officially at disney in these places. The food has been anywhere from incredible to so so it realy just depends on the visit.

Fulton's and Flame Tree seem to be the ones we must visit each trip.

the rose and crown is my personal favorite. each and every time i have eaten here the food was excellent and the service was great

i also am a fan of sci-fi. i have always enjoyed the food here. maybe its that i enjoy the ambiance so much that my view on the food is slanted but its a must do for me

on my last trip i tried ragland road and it too was excellent. another must do for me

HoopDeeDoo!!!!! I know the show, I know the food, I really know the drinks, mmmm Sangria!

TS - Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom is a must. Biergarten and Garden Grill at EPCOT. Boma at Animal Kingdom. Jiko is a very special place as well.

QS - we always seem to end up at Cosmic Rays at MK, Liberty Inn at EPCOT,
Back Lot Express at the Studios and Flame Tree Barbecue at Animal Kingdom.

My must dos for each and every trip are California Grill and Brown Derby.

Here's ours

O'Hana for Breakfast
CS - Caseys
TS - Crystal Palace or 1900 Park Fare

Whispering Canyon Cafe is our must-do as it has become a tradition to have breakfast there on our last day. Prime Time quickly became a new favorite after our first time there last year. CS favorites are Columbia Harbour House and Cosmic Ray's.

My new must-do for me is Kouzzina. I had the best meal I've had at WDW there last week. If you like Greek, this is a great place. I haven't eaten at as many Disney places as some folks, but I"ve tried Chef Mickey's Crystal Palace, San Angel Inn, the Coral Reef, O'Hanas, the Wave, SciFi Theatre, Prime Time Cafe, and Cinderella's Royal Table. Kouzzina is by far the best meal of the bunch. When with my kids, we also really enjoy SciFi and Prime Time Cafe.

For counter service, I really like the Tangierine Cafe, Starring Rolls, Earl of Sandwich, Flame Tree BBQ, and Columbia Harbour House. Didn't care much for Cosmic Rays or Sunshine Seasons. I see Sunshine Seasons is a big favorite here - what am I missing? I've only eaten there once and had the Asian Cashew chicken platter. It was really nothing special. Did I just order the wrong thing?

That's kinda what I was hoping to hear. I found WCC a fun experience, ONCE, but would not want to do it again. I was hoping to hear that 'Ohana isn't quite as "much" as WCC.
