Your Most Expensive/Extravagant/Outlandish Souvenir/WDW Purchase

Our most expensive purchase was for our DD's last year at World of Disney. We visited WDW for a week prior to our Disney Cruise and we ended up spending $160ish on a Cinderella outfit and Tinkerbell outfit with head dresses that our DD's wore while on the cruise. We got the sweetest picture of DD4 with Cindy. She definetly got extra attention from the princess she mirrored.

While on the cruise DH and I spent a frivolous $120ish on a 3D crystal with our images lasered into it. Not only was it an expensive souvenier, it was and is extremely HEAVY.

And to top it all off we purchased 12 8x10's while onboard The Magic, each one priced at $19.95. The up side to this was with every 4 purchased you got a "free" picture folder with a "free" generic picture of your choice. I just couldn't say no to the pics, they were all sooooooooooooooooooooo good. Of course this was on top of the 30 6x8's picture package that we purchased. What can I say, I'm a sucker for good pics of my family.:confused3

Our most expensive WDW purchase was our DVC membership...Second to that is the $400 camera I purchased on our October trip because I was tired of my Canon taking yucky pictures.

I got a $40 Ursula nightgown... yeah, it's not that much, but $40 for a nightgown is a bit extravagant. :)

Most expensive souvie we have bought was a necklace and pendant from TL...Yes TL. DH had just finished the shark reef and said why not open a pearl. He them had it set in a beautiful princess diamond setting for me it cost us $845 total for the pearl, necklace, and setting. I would never spend that much on myself now that I have my princess. But on our recent trip I did suprise my DH w/ a leather jacket he has been wanting it cost $395. He always gets a new watch when we go that's between $100-$200. I normally budget about $1200 for souvies during a 10 day trip. This past trip in Oct. we spent $2108 on souvies. Our moto this time was if you want it buy it. I think DD really enjoyed that seing we spent $1400 or it on her!!!

$750 Wittenauer Mickey Watch at DTD plus $$$$ of other things over the years! Next purchase - one of those great sweaters in Norway!

I want one of those sweaters too! I try them on every trip. Maybe next time...

A backpack on DW and I's first trip together. We had this ugly bag that was hard to carry. I got fed up with it about 15 minutes into epcot. I trashed it and bought a vintage looking green backpack for 50 bucks! I would never have done that anywhere else. We use that thing all the time though.

Most expensive: $300 Mickey/Minnie Hummel at Germany in Epcot.
Least expensive: $0.50 for postcards

On seperate trips I've gotten a gold castle charm, gold Mickey ring, Hummels and some cels.

In the lobby of the Grand Floridian there is a man by the name of Alex that draw portraits and we got one made for us on our honeymoon. It was $175 but it was well worth it.

Ooo - us too - us too! We still have it hanging in our living room 7 1/2 years later - we had it mounted, matted and framed and it's one of our very favorite "souvenirs!"

:goodvibes

I must be the cheapest tightwad out there!

A t-shirt. That's my most expensive souvie! :lmao:

I'm not a collector - don't like clutter (I'm a FlyBaby - www.flylady.net) - and just can't stand to spend hard earned money on useless stuff. (if it doesn't DO something that I need done, I consider it useless - not meant as a put down to those who like trinkets etc - just where I am at personally.)

Last trip - DS's first trip - DH got him one of those key chains that has the light wand on the end. He LOVES it (have had to buy more batteries twice already). But I wouldn't have paid over $10 for a key chain.

We usually get one souvenir on a trip and it has never been over $30. -- wait I did just remember ONE - DH got me a pearl one year - set in the nice thick gold band it was about $250. Other than that it has never been over $30.

On tomorrows trip I plan to get a box of potato head parts for DS. So, I guess that will be my souvie for this trip. (DS and DH are staying home this time)
