Started a new job where I am on my feet all day. Any comfy shoe suggestions?

Thanks.

:)

I've waitressed for 2 years in the same pair of Borns! Comfy from day 1!

I love my crocs. I used to work pt at Starbucks and they were fantastic.

I vote Birk's - as well.

And they come in so many cute styles, now. :lovestruc

When I directed the Alzheimer's unit and was on my feet ALL day everyday, the only saving grace was my Crocs. Ugly they may be, but they were a lifesaver for my feet

Interesting that so many people can wear their Crocs all day. There's virtually no support in them!

Personally, I love Danskos. I also love Keens. Back in my retail days (many moons ago!) I wore Eccos with good results.

Ecco shoes rock:thumbsup2

I wore Eccos with good results.

ITA...Eccos are so comfy and there is no break in time with them. Just put them on and go!!! I buy mine at "The Walking Store" (if you have one near you.) :thumbsup2

I also agree with Binnie, Crocs have NO support at all. I love my Crocs, heck I have 4 pairs but I would never wear them all day working.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I have been switching back and forth between 2 different sneakers... Lands End and Reebok. The Reeboks are a bit better than the Lands Ends but not enough better.

I like my SAS shoes. Sure, they look like old people's shoes but they are so comfortable.

Crocs or Birkenstocks.

My answer exactly, unless you can go barefoot.;)

I wear my Crocs on our week long trips to Disney and nothing else. Marathon 14 hour days-not a single blister or sore foot.

ETA...well, I do wear clothes, too.;):rotfl:

I bought birks and have been so disappointed with them. I don't get why they aren't comfy like I thought they would be.

Sanita clogs. Sanita is the brand that made Dansko's, but then Dansko wanted to move to China, so they split, and Sanita is producing the old style Dansko, although some Dansko's are still produced by Sanita. I'm on a surgery rotation, and on my feet all day. There's a good reason why all the surgeon's wear them. After I bought them, I stopped having knee pain, back pain, and they have great support.

I really do like the REEBOK Princess sneakers as well. You can get them for under $40.00 and they have great support and always look nice on. :goodvibes

I don't really care if Crocs have the typical support; they are so comfy! I used to have back pain everyday, but since I have been wearing Crocs, it is gone. I am a teacher and heaven help me if they ever tell us we can't wear them. I wear neutral colors of the closed toe ones and they look like any clog with jeans.

My mom has bad bunions and foot pain, and she has been converted as well. She has the kind with the black, non-skid coating on the bottom, as she works in a cafeteria.
