Okay, first..........I'm a baby boomer, one of the first. No, I don't hit the gyms or run 10 miles a day. But I'm not a couch potatoe either. I'm thinking that in many ways we are like our parents. As a child of the fifties, my parents ate dinner, and then watched tv until bedtime. Oh, they did play golf seasonally. The dog was free to roam in those days.

As I look back I find I'm different....times are so different now. I did the gyms, ran a little. I walk the dog, use my treadmill and glider thing. Watch some tv when I go to bed. Spend a lot of time on the computer. I feel so much more active than my parents were, even tho I consider myself low on the exercise pole. And I've lived longer than they did.

So, I wonder what you all do. Sit on your butts every night, or are you active in some way?

Ultra-lazy. I fully expect to drop dead sometime at WDW because that's the only place I get any exercise.

LOL Laura.........What a way to go.

How about both? LOL!

The vast majority of what I do is done either at the computer or on the couch, but between working a full time job, part time (very) job, school projects, graduate school itself, and various other activities, I have more than enough to fill my time so I'm active mentally all the time. (And this is without kids?? I can't imagine what it'd be like *with* kids! ;) )

I'm just now starting to get active physically, really. :)

I'm so lazy... didn't used to be but ever since I became unemployed I've become a bit of a bum. Wow, there's honesty for ya. LOL. Need to get my butt to the gym though because I have a wedding dress to fit into in 6 months!

i use to be alot more active before being diagnosed with Meneries. I still try to walk alot, but my meds make me to tired to do as much as I use to.

Active - only times Im at rest is either when Im at work or on the DIS.
At night I attempt to read but after a few pages I fall asleep. Once I sit, Im out

I wish I was more active. I think as I age I slow down alot, which I think is normal. I used tog o to the gym like everyone else I know but just can't get motivated. I should start back, these 5 pounds I gained are staying stuck to me, my bum is spreading from sitting here and at work, Oh my goodness, I think i am lazy now. :D

Depeneds on what day it is. ;)

I could definitely use more physical activity in my life. It's my goal at the beginning of every week to get in at least 4 workouts, sometimes I make it, sometimes I don't. I have fibromyalgia and the workouts would really help me feel better but it's the thing that also tires me out so much that I don't want to do it. So anyway, I could definitely use some more exercise.

Now as far as regular activity, I work full time and my workplace is hopping for the most part, I'm the Receptionist and Office Assistant and most days I'm running around there trying to do a hundred things at once. When I get home my level of activity really just depends on how I feel. If I feel good I work out, make dinner, do stuff around the house, spend time on the computer, etc. If I feel bad, I spend too much time on the computer, in front of the tv or else I go to bed early.

On the weekends it varies. They are usually pretty active though. Helping with the homeless outreach at church, grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, going to Disney! among other things.

I guess for the most part I would consider myself an active person but I would like to be more active as far as actual exercise goes. :)

I think my user name can answer that question for me (since I'm lazy and trying to conserve keyboard strokes). Admittedly, I passively sit on my butt many evenings, but while actively reading these DISboards!

That one just made me laugh way too much.

I'm not exactly either. I'm not active because of health issues, but I do try when I can.

Can I be both??:jester: I sit a lot but in the summers I walk and ride a bike a lot, too.:D

Well with a user name like bumcat I guess one can assume I am a lazy bum.
I work anywhere from 45 - 60 hrs per week so I feel it is my God given right to be a bum and sit on my big butt whenever I can.
