Miami and LaGuardia are both pits. Old, crowded, disgusting pits of airports. Also a nightmare is the Peoria (Illinois) airport - flew to Vegas from there once. Way too many people were crowded into way too small a space, and the design was just terrible. Blech.

Denver, only because it seems like there is always a problem with my flight when I layover there (probably the air-traffic controllers are high)

Years and years and years ago Mrs. Homie and I flew St. Louis - Denver to catch a flight to Sacramento. Long story short the change in altitudes did. me. in. Walking from one end of the terminal to the other just exhausted both of us.

PHL. This is my home airport so we use it every time we go to Disney, but it's not very nice. It used to be a real dump but they've made improvements, just not enough.

Haven't had that problem at the airport, but went walking when visiting Denver up on Mt Evans (you can drive to the top of a 14K) and just the walk from the parking lot to the top had me seriously winded.

O'Hare has been my least favorite, but also the site of the weirdest (good) thing that ever has happened to me in an airport.

I was flying back with a group of co-workers from a week in Boston, we landed in Chicago and were heading to our connecting flight. While walking off the plane I see a guy standing at the gate next to where we just got off that I thought looked like my dad, sure enough it was my dad who was waiting to catch a flight back to Tulsa. We didn't even know that we were both flying that day. I called my wife on my cell phone and handed it to him when she answered and she was pretty confused. Amazing how small the world can be sometimes.

My biggest oh crap moment in flying came just last month, we had a 6:20 AM flight out of Springfield, MO to get to Chicago which we had about an hour to get to our flight to London which was due to arrive in London at 10:40 PM. I dropped the family off with our luggage and went to park, I get parked and get into the airport, we use the kiosk to try to check our bags and it says we have missed the cut-off (5:22 AM) and that we can proceed to the counter to reschedule our flight. There was not much wait in line, but I was kicking myself realizing the next flight meant an overnight on a red-eye, probably not sitting together for our 9 hour flight to London. We were very fortunate that the counter agent went ahead and sent our bags and the trip there went perfect as scheduled and we made our scheduled flight.

Bozeman MT. Terrible airport, it takes forever to get to civilization and I swear to god the city was a bleeding chain restaurant wasteland.

And I'll hold it down for LaGuardia - I love that the TSA there just screams in people's faces to get their business together before screening. There would be a world less amateurs doing things they shouldn't and holding up the lines. God, I wish all airports had those guys at LaGuardia, the lines would move like eleventy billion times faster, and maybe during the boarding process too.

LAX. Going though TSA feels like entering a prison.

LaGuardia and Washington National. (Although it's been over 20 years since I've been to DCA, maybe it's better now).

DW and I dropped her daughter off at Trenton, NJ airport this afternoon for an Allegiant flight to Orlando/Sanford. Very tiny airport, almost looks third world.

Add me to those who dislike PHL. It seems like I can never get out of there on time -- something always goes wrong.

Charles De Gualle, Paris, LAX and then Pearson, but its been a while since I've been there.

I thought Newark was a dump when we were there. Plus the flights are always delayed there.
