As I often do when I have a Disney trip in the near future (just over three weeks away!), I'm watching some of my Disneyland DVDs just to keep me excited... Not that I really need that help.
Anyways, I decided to watch the Walt Disney Treasures volume entitled "Your Host Walt Disney." It's one I don't pull out as often as the others. However, it proved to be exceptionally timely: The volume has the live broadcast of the fourth anniversary "Disneyland '59," the live broadcast of the day they opened the subs, Matterhorn and monorail.
What made it especially timely though was the show was hosted by Art Linkletter and also featurs Dennis Hopper for a brief second, both of whom died this week.
If you have the collection or show, may I suggest pulling it out over the next few days...
