OK, to end this week's wedding questions, I thought it would be fun to talk about the last thing you do at a wedding - leaving for your honeymoon.
So, where did you go? How long were you there? Who paid for it? Would you recommend that other's go to the same place? Do you wish you had gone some place else? Etc...
My wife and I spent a week at WDW
. My dad gave us a week of timesharing at the Vistana resort, just down the road from Disney. The only part that we had to pay for would have been the ticket prices (this was almost 17 years ago), but even that was taken care of. While we were in line to buy tickets, this other couple asked us if we wanted the rest of their tickets for the week. Apparently they had to leave unexpectedly, and they wanted to give their tickets to somebody else. I think we still had that deer-in-the-headlights-I-can't-believe-we-just-got-married look because they seemed to know that we were newlyweds. It really was a wonderful week, and I would highly recommend to anybody that they too should do Disney for their honeymoon. I suppose that Hawaii or Europe would have been great too, but for me, I'm glad we did WDW.
