In June my fiance and I will be getting married:hug:
Our situation is a little different. We have 2 children, own a home, have been together for 7 years. We are just doing the wedding part now:rolleyes1
We had a solo honeymoon planned but we went away once for 10 days without the kids.. and we missed them too much to enjoy ourselves.
So we put our honeymoon money into a Disney vacation with the kids and we are really excited!:cool1: (We kinda like the kids .. shhhh.. don't tell them :lmao: )
Anyway... I would like to take just one night in honor of our wedding and hire a babysitter and go do something just the two of us while we are at Disney.
This is where you come in:goodvibes
What would you do for one romantic night? A signature restaurant followed by fireworks? CS and riding your favorite rides for hours? A walk on the beach at the Poly? Private dining?
I would just love any and all of your suggestions!
We are staying at AKL.. but I am willing to book and ADR just about anywhere. I am just looking for that "Wow!" factor. I want to plan a surprise:lovestruc
Thanks in advance:goodvibes

Oh boy, I would suggest the following:

-If you don't want to travel far, have dinner at Jiko and then do the night vision to see the animals at AKL!
-Eat dinner at WL Artist's Point and then take a boat to the Poly to watch Wishes and the Electric Water Parade on the Poly beach!
-Dinner and Wishes at Narcoosees at GF!
-Dinner in the World Showcase and then go on an Illuminations Cruise!

HTH & congratulations!!:goodvibes

Congratulations! We will also be honeymooning at Disney. How wonderful that you're making it a family vacation!

We're going to be doing dinner and Wishes at Narcoosees. We did it last year and it was amazing. I've heard good things about California Grill too, and that is one of our adr's, but I love being at Narcoosees on the water. Happy planning!

How old are the kids?

You could drop them off at Simba's Club in the AKL where they get entertained and fed, while you do Jiko.

For the ultimate wow dinner for two though you really should give at least a little consideration to Victoria and Albert's - expensive, but so worth it... you could leave the kids behind at the AKL or take them to the GF and leave them at the Mouseketeer Club. With an early enough dinner you could probably still get out in time to see Wishes from the boat dock.

In room babysitting by Kids Nite Out is also very reasonable and efficient.

So many excellent suggestions!! I knew I could count on you guys:goodvibes
The kids will be 4 and 11 when we go to Disney (they are our maid of honor and best man in the wedding!) So they would both be able to stay at the AKL kid's club.. but I may go with an in room sitter so that if we want to stay out late they can go to sleep.
Price is not really a concern .. I scrimp and save every single day.. for this I am willing to splurge :)
I am off to check out menus!
I am really liking the idea of fireworks on the beach!

As another person already suggested, for the ultimate in dining and romance and wow-factor, you can't surpass Victoria and Albert's. It is expensive and it is worth every penny - dining there is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that the two of you would always remember.

Congratulations! :goodvibes

think V & A is about $90 base price per person for the dinner but an experience you will always remember.....That might be the Chef's table experience......

Artist Point is nice also. food outstanding, walk around WL, boat ride to CR or MK for fireworks.....

CalGrill is great if you can get something around fireworks time. very magical but can be noisy there also.

There are many restaurants that i would enjoy an evening out with my DW.

Ohanas is noisy but getting a seat next to window for fireworks made my DW cry at our 20th anniversary!!!!

we are doing AP for our 25th this june!!! girls(16yrs) will be off doing the MK and we will meet up at night for a stroll around the MK and do our 2 favs.Pirates & HAunted Mansion.....

Actually the menu price in the dining room has increased to $125 per person - the wine pairings are an additional $60 per person. And absolutely worth it! :thumbsup2
