Hey everyone,

My extended family is trying to plan a trip to WDW in August. We are wondering if we should schedule any Grand Gathering experiences. Do any of you have recommendations? Has anyone done one? If so, how was it? Food good? Would you do it again? Thanks all.

We did the Tony's Breakfast Gathering and Safari Dinner. Both were a lot of fun but I think we're just going to do the Tony's Breakfast again. We did the safari dinner 2 years ago and it was about the same. Our guide was really good this time and did a great job getting everyone talking on the safari ride. Then salads were served family style at the table then buffet for entrees and sides. Dessert was family style again. Simon and Pumba came by after dinner. Also there was music and dancing during dinner. All and all a good time. Plus we got some great pics of the tree at night.
Tony's Breakfast was a blast. We got into MK early before gates open so we had great pictures on main street. Breakfast was family style consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, and mickey waffles. Plus juice and coffee. Tony came out and talked to all the tables giving each person a special pin. Then chip, dale, pluto and goofy came out. They did pics at each table then sang and dance with everyone. Tony sang happy b-day then the song from lady and the tramp. Then Mickey came out to do pictures with each group. We had so much fun at this breakfast and we'll be doing it again in September.
