I just want to talk about this because it makes me so happy!!

Our normal garbage pickup day is Monday, but on a holiday they always come the day after. So I put my garbage can out last night, and I was able to fit all the food-related garbage in the regular can. I also put out an extra smaller can with the paper and ribbon garbage, and I snuck an extra bag in the neighbor's can, too. I just looked out to see the most beautiful sight - the garbage truck taking it all away!! And the smaller can is now upside down, which means they emptied it as well. Woo Hoo!!!

Even better - I filled the recycling can totally full last week, so I knew I wouldn't have much room for Christmas. And because Santa brought a LOT of stuff online, I had big cartons to get rid of, as well as all the gift boxes, cardboard inserts, etc. So I took one of the largest cartons and filled it full, then dragged it out to the street, and lo and behold!! It's gone, too!!!

I still have several shipping cartons, but this is the first year I have had a garage, and I have just discovered the joy of storing something there for an extra week. So next week I'll put the rest of the recycling out and then I'll be clean as a whistle!!!

I am irrationally excited about my garbage....

why did you have to put a bag of your garbage in your neighbors can?
