HI AGAIN...

me and df are heading to wdw in 4 months....so heres a few questions and i want your honest opinion...

1. best character meal for breakfast? why and where? Definitely Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom with Pooh and friends; love the puffed french toast, the characters and we always try to get an 8 a.m. ADR so that we can get into the MK prior to the crowds which gives us great opportunities for photo ops

2. best character meal for dinner? why and where? We've only done Chef Mickey's as we are not big fans of the food at the dinner buffets at Disney

3. best character interaction? why and where? We have always had great character interaction at the Crystal Palace and at Chef Mickey's when we ate there for breakfast (dinner was way too rushed)

thank you :banana::banana::cool1::cool1::thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Comments in red above...hope it helps.

The only Character Breakfast I have found to continously have great character interaction and good food and ambiance over the years is Tusker House in AK. I'm not a big fan of dinner buffets so I can't commenton those. I crossed off Chef Mickey's from my list years ago and won't do it again!

We think the best character breakfast is 'Ohana - Best Friends Breakfast with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. This is not a buffet but rather a family style served meal. No need to worry about buffet lines since this is all served at your table. The fruit and breads are very good. Don't pass up the Lilikoi juice. Yum! And as someone who is not a huge fan of breakfast I really love the scrambled eggs they serve here. I also really love being able to have my first cup of coffee while taking in the beautiful sights of Cinderella castle and the Polynesian resort. It's just great. The characters are also a lot of fun! Watch out for Stitch..he's a prankster! :goodvibes

As for dinner.. Garden Grill no question. Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. The food is very good and the service has always been extremely good. It's also very nice to dine at a rotating restaurant. And don't worry it goes slow. :thumbsup2 But the scenes from Living with the Land are very cool to see while you dine. I absolutely love the salad and rolls. Now I'm a vegetarian so I can't comment on the meat and fish, but my husband really enjoys them. The character interaction in our opinions is the best of all the restaurants we've been to. The characters generally really take their time with you and come around multiple times. We just love it!

Like I said, best interaction has been Garden Grill with 'Ohana coming in second. We also really love the interaction we've had at 1900 Park Fare, but it is definitely in 3rd place.

When it comes to character breakfasts, none really stick out to me. I find that in reality, the food is basically the same for breakfast at each restaurant (with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 unique dishes a restaurant might have). It really comes down to what characters you want to see. We prefer 1900 PF and Akershus because we tend to like the interaction with face characters better.

For dinner, our favorite is Garden Grill. The food is alright, nothing special, but the mix of atmosphere and character interaction set it apart for us. The restaurant rotates around Living with the Land and due to its circular shape, the characters will usually pass by your table anywhere between 2 and 4 times. It is also one of the quietest character meals on property. Do note that we are not really a fan of any of the character dinner buffets.

The best character interaction we have had have been at the three restaurants I mentioned by name... 1900 PF for breakfast, Akershus (any meal) and Garden Grill (only open for dinner). :thumbsup2

By far our favorite character meal was at Cinderella's Royal Table. We had breakfast there a few weeks ago and everything was wonderful!! We have 2 daughters ages 10 and 3, and a son who is 6. It was both of the girls' favorite meal and even our son liked it (he would blush whenever the princesses called him handsome). :) If you don't have daughter's, I wouldn't do it though.
Before our trip I kept wavering back and forth on whether or not to do this. I was so glad we did! We also did 1900 Park Fare (breakfast) -the food was delicious, but the characters didn't spend much time at all at our table.

Ohana is def. the best character breakfast by far IMO. The atmosphere is fantastic, not to mention when Stitch rolls on the floor while throwing a tantrum. The food is good and character interaction is good. That is my vote for breakfast. We thought the best character dinner is Chef Mickeys. The food is the standard Buffet fare but the atmosphere is great.

Well we have only done 1 character breakfast and that was Chef Mickey's and we prob won't do it again until my grandbabies are older...
We loved loved loved the interaction of the characters at Crystal Palace and the dinner buffet was good as well
