We just booked two days in October at the Coronado. We booked a waterview room. We have an 11 year old, who is extremely interested in the Dig Site. For those of you who have stayed at Coronado, in a water front room, which did you think was best, and why!

Thanks!

We were in Casitas 4, top floor (I'm sorry but I can't remember the exact room numbers but I think they were 4431 and 4432, they were connecting) - there were only 4 rooms in our row, (very very quiet) and they overlooked the lake - it was a perfect view, totally unobstructed, right to the far end with the Swan and Dolphin in the distance. We were no more than 30 seconds away from bus stop 2, a few minutes walk from El Centro, or the Dig Site the other way, right next to the quiet pool, health club and gym, we couldn't have asked for a better location.

Whenever we're at Coronado, we always stay in the cabanas. Cabanas building 8A is the closest you can possibly get to the digsite, and has really lush, gorgeous, tropical landscaping (vs. the Casitas' "city" landscaping and the Ranchos' dry desert landscaping). I'd definitely recommend that.

Thanks! The Ranchos are definitely my LEAST favorite as far as landscaping and building design. Both of the other areas and building sound really nice, though!:)

My favorite building is still cabana 8a. 9b is closest to everything but 8a has great views of the resort.

Thanks for that wonderful site, Buzz!

Anyone else have any personal experiences staying at Coronodo they would like to share?

Thanks!

Wow. That is a great site. Okay, now you guys have me second guessing my decision to stay at PO FQ in October. CS was available and now I'm torn!!! :confused3

CSR is a great resort. We love the place. Casitas have some great views of the fountains and courtyards. Especially at night!

CSR is beautiful. We had a waterview room in Casitas 5 - top floor. We were there during a full moon and it rose over the lake several nights...huge and orange. Unfortunately my photos didn't turn out, but that is one of my best Disney memories.

Also in Casitas 4, on 3rd floor and we had an amazing water view completely unobstructed! :)

Thanks! Honestly, I don't think I can go wrong. I am just a bit scared of the Rancheos... they just seem kind of dull and drab compared with the other 2 areas. Any one stay there... and what are your opinions?

Wow, beautiful pics, CajunWDWFan and Lilolvr.... thanks for sharing.

Anyone want to weigh in on the Ranchos area, waterview?

DH wants to stay at CSR next year and that site has defintely suaded me. :cool1: Does CSR share a bus with any other resort when going to and from the theme parks?

nope, no sharing!

We loved CSR when we stayed there in 2001. We were in the Casitas, and I liked being close to a quiet pool and El Centro. Bus access was great. I liked the Pepper Market as well.

We enjoyed the view from Casitas 5 and found it to be close to the Dig Site and Bus stop. CSR is our favourite resort.
