your favorite time to visit DLR

I was just thinking about Disneyland and times to go for different seasons, etc., and I was wondering, what is your favorite time to go and why?

My favorite time is Christmas time, I only went once, last year and we love Christmas and it made it all the more magical to experience it all.

We enjoy the Christmas decorations and the halloween stuff, as long as we can avoid the crowds. Our favorite time to go is in January, except during the NAMM convention.

We love early October - because that is when my kids are off school! However, we also like that time of year because the Halloween/fall decorations are great, the overlays (HM and SM) are fun, the Trick-or-Treat party is a blast (especially last year when it moved to DL from CA), and the weather is generally still really nice. When we first started going (in 1999) the crowds were incredibly small but with time the popularity of that time of year has definitely grown. Still not as bad as some other times though.

I have always wanted to go during Christmastime but it is hard to make that work.

Early Nov, specifically the days around Veteran's Day weekend.

Weather has always been perfect. The crowds pretty low. Christmas just up. The Saturday of that weekend historically was when they did/do the Disney Christmas Special, so Saturday was always crowded/a bit painful - but- the tradeoff if you are almost sure to see celebs.

We love the first week of Nov. and Feb. (avoinding holidays). Crowds are lower, wait times are super short and the weather is usually nice. We've done high crowds/high season and we've discovered we are low season visitors.

We love the Christmas season at DL the most! At home, we go all out with decorations and family get togethers during Christmas and the combination of our favorite holiday and DL is just heaven for us.

I love to go during the holidays but don't really like the crowds that come with. If I could go at a time when all the decs and holiday offerings are out but not too crowded that would be perfect. I have found that when I go at other times the park seems so bare. I do enjoy going in the summer ONLY because it is a great break after school is out and I love being there when it is warm (not too hot) and enjoying warm summer evenings but honestly I have to say Christmas first and then halloween 2nd are now my fav times to go.

Well, now, let me think on this one...hmmmm...it's tough....I'm not quite sure...I'm kinda on the fence about it...I've never really thought about it before...

Awww, sure you can! It's Christmas time!!!

And there are 101 days until the holiday season begins at DLR...not that I'm counting or anything....

Halloween Time is certainly in second place (that's not really a shocker to anyone here, either!), but there is absolutely nothing that compares to the enchanting Christmas season at DLR....the colors, the lights, the themed holiday music in each land, the fake snow, the aromas, the treats, the Christmas trees, the decorations, the window displays, the peppermint ice cream cones (of death!), the spectacular IASW Holiday and nighttime Winter Castle, the GCH, etc.

If you love Christmas time and love Disneyland, combined they equal pure, joyful, blissful magic!

Another vote for Christmas time, but my most true answer is anytime the park opens unusually early because they need to close early for a special event. Nothing better than running around the park at 7:00 a.m. and getting on any ride you wish!!

Never been during Christmas. I am sure once I have gone, that would be my favorite time.

I really love Halloweentime! I also like going in January, when it's off season. The parks are super empty and the weather isn't too bad. We got to ride Splash twice in a row That was fun.
