Your favorite thing to do on the Fantasy?

Is the Midship Detective Agency geared to adults? We are a party of 2 adults on this trip, and wanted to make sure it was age appropriate. Thanks!

It's geared to anyone! I'm an adult and I played the heck out of MSDA on my last Fantasy cruise - the Muppets version AND the traditional versions!

We love to sit on the couches next to the bar in the Cove and watch the world go by. Another favorite of mine is a book, a pipe, an Old Fashioned and quiet time in the Meridian outdoor area. We also spend a lot of time in Skyline or Ooh La La in the evenings. Any place that's not swarmed by kids is a plus for us.

Favorite thing for us on a Fantasy sea day is Remy brunch.

Late in the evening, when the atrium is close to empty, I like standing in this spot with a cup of tea, listening to the live piano music and watching the small kids dancing to it.

Can someone tell me more about the ship tours on the Fantasy. What is the cost and do you need to reserve it ahead of time? Do you go "behind the scenes" on the ship? ThANKS!

On boarding day, there is a general "here are the main things" tour. No charge - just show up.

The Art of the Theme Show Tour does not take you behind the scenes, but you learn little hidden things about the ship. 18+ only. No charge. And at least as of 2015 you just showed up. It's EXCELLENT.

To my knowledge DCL does not have any "Behind the Scenes" tours any longer.

1. Family time with no distractions, electronics or need to rush around (like a typical day at home/work)
2. Spending time with my husband after late dinner at the Meridian or Skyline.
3. The family Mini golf challenge
4. The family Aquaduck challenge
5. Sitting on the verandah watching the waves and looking for dolphins as we are leaving ports.
6. Rainforest heated loungers and the saunas while I have some alone time in the evening before dinner. ( I don't get alone time at home...or not that much of it anyway.)

That about does it. Not too much really. lol

My favourite places to hang out are:

deck chairs on deck 4
Skyline
Vista Cafe

As regards to organized activities: They sometimes have guest speakers that will speak about some aspect of the Walt Disney Company. We had someone from Disney Theatrical who told us about the process of putting a Broadway show together. That was excellent!

I also saw on recent navigators that they now show a Cruise Director Morning Show every day on the Fantasy. I am not sure how good this is, but on our Panama Canal cruise they had that and I went to most of the recordings (seems like on the Fantasy you can only catch it on TV) and thought that those were really very interesting. Kind of your typical morning show on TV, but with regard to the cruise and that days activities.

I would say the Midship Detective Agency is geared more towards elementary aged kids -- you really have to have a little bit of an attention span and be able to read to do it. But I did see adult groups doing it, and I love to do it with my kids. Lots of fun and a great way to explore the ship and learn how to navigate around. And it's fun to be a kids sometimes!

No one mentioned those awesome circle loungers in the adult areas? Sitting in those is pretty awesome.

Loved the adult pool area and the acoustic guitar guy that played everyday...aaahhh heaven!!!

DH and I did this on our cruise this past winter. Children were telling what to do at first, LOL! Overall it was a fun little thing to try, even for adults. On our recent cruise with nice sunny weather I didn't waste time inside, but when it was cool and cloudy in January, it gave us a little entertainment. :)

I also enjoy satellite falls then napping out on deck, trivia before dinner, most of the adult entertainment at night, having a cocktail at meridian...just about everything I guess.
