I want to take my family to dinner our first night, keep in mind the ONLY restaurant they ever eat at(with the exception of fast food) is Golden Corrall which they consider to be some of the best food they've ever tried:rolleyes: They are easily impressed, which is fine by me! We will have 8 of us ME,DH,DS4,MIL,FIL,Niece13, & Nephews 9,11. Where would you go? Thanks!

We love, love, love T-Rex. You can make advance reservations for it, but not on dining plan. It is very loud. Our first time there, we were in the meteor shower room. It was too loud. Since then, we have been seated near the aquarium, and can see the meteor showers as they occur. You can search for T-Rex and ge the menu online. We've had decent food there.

We did T-Rex in September and our family enjoyed it very much. We are returning in May and have made ADR for T-Rex our first night.

T-Rex - absolutely. I'd go out of my way to go there - a lot of fun and good food. Chefs are great if anyone has food allergies or special needs.

Thanks guys! You have made this easy as all of you recommended the same place! :goodvibes

That is good to know! I'm the only "grass eater"(as my FIL calls me) in the family so that puts my mind at ease!

The best bet would be to take the boat over and eat at SSR/Turf Club.

But HoB is good.
I have eaten once at TRex and was surprised it was good too.
And I have had good luck at Raglan Road. (Although I know those who did not. Seems like it can be a hit or miss.)
EoS is good for a sandwich counter service.
Have not been to Fulton's in years. But what I had there was good and would not hesitate to return.
Have not eaten at Portobello yet. Hoping to get a chance tomorrow.

However I would go to Turf Club over any DTD restaurant any day.

But with kids -- I would stick with T Rex as others have mentioned.

Raglan Road looked like everyone would enjoy the food but I was actually eyeballing it more for the dancers! I love that style dance:goodvibes Can anyone tell me what that is like? Do they dance all night? We're going back again probably in Feb/March(AP holders, 2.5 hours away) so I was thinking about Raglan for then as well. T-rex I think will be fun for the kids!

If you are okay with the prices, I would say Fulton's.

like both RFC and T Rex - including mine. I also like House of Blues which is generally less crowded.

In this order,

Fulton's
Paradisio 37
Raglan Road
WPE

Or take the water taxi over to Olivia's at OKW or Turf Club at SSR - these are both well-kept secrets that I just found last year.

One complaint I had with Turf Club was that the ladies' room was very, very far away from the restaurant - all the way back to the main entrance - while at Olivia's, it is right next to the entrance to the restaurant.

Both have wonderful outdoor seating and views of the river, so I wouldn't hesitate to do either lunch or dinner there.

The only TS we will eat at in DTD is Fultons Crab House...not impressed with the others

We've eaten at Rainforest Cafe, House of Blues, and T-Rex.

House of Blues is the clear winner out of those 3. I really enjoyed my Jambalaya, and DW and the kids really liked their meals there, too. T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe were cruddy meals with lousy service in really cool atmosphere.

Ate and drank pirate: at Raglan Road many a time. Great atmosphere, and just a gorgeous bar/dining room. The band plays 5 nights a week and is as authentic as Irish folk music can be. The dancer usually just clogs (similar to river dance) about twice during each set. Plan on taking my daughter there in May for the first Daddy/daughter drink as she will be turning 21. She also clogged when she was younger.

We really like Raglan Road but if your family is as easy to please as you say I might go with the others and say T-Rex for the entertainment value.

my family loves wolfgang pucks. we went with a large group for my daughters then 18th birthday with ages 3-65 and everyone had a great meal. raglan road is fun. to me t-rex and planet hollywood are one in the same if you close your eyes and just eat the food but younger kids love both...the food is like going to applebees but they have a wide variety of types of food if you're trying to please a diverse crowd. we also had a really good meal at portabellos but we weren't on the dining plan then so i can't remember if they take it or not.

1) At DTD, I would select House of Blues ("HOB").
2) Probably the one eatery that you don't feel is excessively priced.
3) Plus, use a Restaurant.com coupon and save about 60%.

I really enjoy the House of Blues and for a quick REALLY GOOD and filling sandwich, The Earl Of Sandwich. They are two of the three I never miss when I'm down there. The third is ESPN Club at the Boardwalk for their chicken wings and a pint!
