I think that is the ride I was thinking of. I voted for Dream flight but I might be confused. Which one kind of gave you the feeling of soarin(I have never been on soarin just what I have seen on commercials) you felt like you were really flying or gliding through the air and it was sponsored by an airline. Anywhere where I can see a video of this ride?(Dreamflight or If you had wings)

It's hard to tell based on your description since both of the rides had sequences in which this happened. (Even Buzz Lightyear still has a variation on this sequence.) I'm guessing you're thinking of Dreamflight, but here you go. The "speed rooms" are near the end of both videos:

I really miss Alien Encounter, I understand it was too scary for some kids but I really enjoyed it.

I also miss Millionaire, I was so dissappointed when I went to catch it and found out it was no longer there.

I automatically answered Alien Encounter to this question, and I stand by that. It was pretty scary, and I can remember kids freaking out in line. I could never understand when parents wouldn't take their kids out of line :confused3. Maybe it was closed because some parents just don't know any better!

As I read through some of the other responses, I was reminded of Timekeeper! I really did enjoy that show, too.

And, Tarzan! It wasn't one of my favorite shows, but boy was Tarzan hot! Also, I can't understand why they would get rid of a Tarzan tie-in and put in two Nemo tie-ins. Is there anyplace else in WDW where you can now see Tarzan?

Ugh, I *hate* WDW's new version of the Tiki room. Bring back the original birds and get rid of the silly cartoon ones!

I miss the original Figment ride and Figment's playground SO much!! At least he's back in the ride now.

We're going to Disneyland for the first time and DH doesn't understand why I'm so excited about the Tiki Room and Mr. Toad. I miss them!!!

I voted for the cable cars because I have some great video of my last ride on them and I wish I could do it again.

I actually really miss the Hunchback of Notre Dame live show they had at MGM. That was a great production.

I really enjoyed and miss the Timekeeper show. I thought Robin Williams was just brilliant in the role.

Also, I always thought Cranium Command was laugh-out-loud funny. They had a little pre-show cartoon that showed a drill instructor with new recruits, and at one point he's yelling at them to shape up and says: "Where do you think you are??!! Disney World ??!!"

To this day, my daughter and I say this to each other whenever things get stresfull; cracks us up every time.

The sky ride. I loved seeing the park from above! It was a nice way to get around MK with out walking!

I absolutely loved the Skyway at MK! It always makes me a bit sad to see the empty building in Fantasyland. :sad1: I also really liked the original Journey into the Imagination ride. The new one is just...yeah, not so great. I also agree that Alien Encounter was far better than Stitch's Great Escape. Ugh, that ride is horrible!

Discovery Island - I understand why many people did not go and see it, and that was a huge part of the charm. Well that and all of the animals of course. Does anyone know if they even do anything with that island anymore or is it overrun with gators now?

I guess mine would be World of Motion...I really loved the whole attraction since I'm a car nut. :thumbsup2

I chose the Skyride or cable cars. I loved being able to view the park from above-especially 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

without sounding stupid, can I ask what the cable cars were???

There used to be a ride called the Skyway that offered transportation between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland.

As a kid, Horizons was second only to SSE in my book.

I still have fond memories, and I play Martin's Ultimate Tribute to it constantly.

(For those who don't know, you can find it on mousebits.)

Does Test Track have any appeal to you?

Just a curiosity. I always have enjoyed it, but I know some are very critical of the whole setup.

awww, I don't remember going on these. Our first trip was like in 1985....were they around then????

20,000 leagues under the sea. I remember seeing this ride as a child, and thinking just how amazing it looked. When our family finally made our first trip to WDW, back in 83 or so, I was floored by it. It was even cooler in person than on TV!!!! :lmao:

I really can't believe they took this one out.
