Your favorite DL/DCA rides? Ones you hate?

Space Mountain is hands down my favorite. But, I like almost all the rides at DL, with the exception of the Astro Orbiters, Tea Cups, and Splash Mountain.

DCA, I couldn't tell you! lol Last time we were there, we spent very little time in DCA, and I haven't been on any of the rides there. I will be 7+ months pregnant on our next trip, so I will probably still have very little experience with DCA rides! lol

Ok I will stick to what I don't like , if it's not on that list I like it
DL
Star Tours makes me really dizzy if I ride it more then once, I still go but for some reason after having kids it makes me want to puke! Never bothered me pre-motherhood at all! Boy I love star Wars , so I hate not riding it.
CA
I wont ride Maliboomer and Orange stinger, so I have no opinion on them. Hate bugs land all together, glad my boys are getting to old for it, too tame!

Let me add I love mullholland madness, wish it was a longer ride!

OHHHHHHHHHHHH I knew I forgot something I HATE the Sun Wheel , aka the swinging buckets of death..........hate the swingers , hate the non swingers , don't even like to look up at it anymore! I feel better now thanks for letting me vent!:scared1:

I absolutely HATE Star Tours!! Its just completely ridiculous. It is the worst ride ever! Other than that I like all the rides or am willing to go on them. I won't even fathom the idea of going on Star Tours.

Amen to that!! The Sun Wheel is the only ride I hate. Really hate! I don't "do" Ferris Wheels. DH and the kids love it, and bullied me into trying it. I have a picture they took of me looking terrified and ready to puke! I can do coasters all day long and never a worry. But Sun Wheel, NO!

And the buckets of death? WHY WHY WHY would Disney do that to anyone?? :scared1:

Favorites:

At DL- 3 way tie. Pirates (loved at WDW when I was a kid, loved even more at DL once we moved to CA), SM, and HMH. LOVE Haunted Mansion Holiday!!!! I don't hate any of the rides at DL.

At DCA- California Screamin is awesome, love TOT, Soarin over California. Oh wait- besides hating the Sun Wheel, I really hate Heimlich's Chew Chew Train. I took DS on that ONCE and decided that was the lamest kiddie ride ever invented. Sorry kid, mom's not going back on that one again! I had to WAIT for that?!

In DL I love most of the rides. I think it's easier to list what I don't like.
Tea Cups & Astro Orbiters (I don't like spinning in circles)
I don't like the Honey I Shrunk the Audience so we only do it occasionally.
My absolute fave is Pirates, my second fave is Splash. I love Splash, Song of the South was one of my favorite movies as a kid so I love that ride!! :)
I love Space but it makes me queasy so I only do it once a trip...maybe twice if the trip is more than 4 days. :) Star Tours is the same way...gives me motion sickness so I avoid it.

In DCA there are a lot of rides I won't do.
Maliboomer, Orange Stinger are the big ones. No thank YOU! My kids love the Orange Stinger and would ride the Maliboomer but the littlest one isn't quite big enough so no go....and then I told them about the girl who had her feet cut off on the ride in Vegas that was like that and they have decided to never do it. LOL Yes, bad Mommy! LOL
I love Soarin', it's my number 1 fave!!! BUT, we didn't do it last trip, we ran out of time. :( I was sad but we did ToT instead so all was well. LOL Our whole family loves Heimlich's Chew Chew Train in Bug's Land but the other rides are nothing to write home about. Not even the bumper cars.

Oh...my #1 will probably always be Splash Mountain. That combo of fun disney songs, a great story line and an exciting drop will probably always win out. But I don't always love getting wet. Tower of Terror is also AMAZING...hmm I guess I like that drop feeling. But I love almost every ride in the DLR- Bug's land...so cute.

What I really don't understand is Mullholland Madness. I got so jerked around on that ride (and not in a fun way like on Indiana Jones). My ribs kept hitting the edge and I jabbed my husband with my shoulder and we both came off with headaches. We rode it one more time to give it another chance on another trip and we said NEVER again. It is just awful.

Another IASW lover here! I rode it at the World's Fair when I was 3 years old and I still love it.

I don't really hold anything against the Teacups or Star Tours, but I don't go on them because I get terrible motion sickness from both.

I've never really liked Snow White. It seems too scary for the little kids that it is geared to. Plus, I really got sick of Toontown. When my kids were little we would wind up there for way too many hours. But, we did it for a couple of hours on our trip last year and that was a lot better.

The funny thing about Snow White is you go through all this trauma and strife in the ride and then all of a sudden you end up at the end "and they all lived happily ever after . . . . " Does anyone else think they ran out of room/money when first doing this ride?

DL Loves
Splash Mountain!!
Pirate's of the Carribean (I love Cap'n Jack!)
Peter Pan I love looking for all the neat details like the moving traffic

Rides I found okay
Space mountain. I don't like it too often I feel it throws me around to much
Matterhorn Bobsleds Same as for Space mountain

Rides I disliked
teacups
dumbo
star tours

DCA Rides I Loved
TOT
Screamin
Soarin
Grizzly River Run (I went on in 6 times and not once did the Geyser get me lol)

DCA rides I Hate
Mullhulland Madness (I hate this ride so did my kids all the jerky stops it totally reminds me of the crash test dummies commercial where the dummies ram into a wall...well that is how I felt after that ride lol!)

Rides I did not try figuring I would not like them
The orange ride...Everytime I go on the "swings ride" at our city fair i feel sick and dizzy so I ruled that one out for me
mailboomer - I rode the one simular at Knotts and that was all I needed to be reminded how much I don't like it.

I missed Bugs land totally (to busy taking the older kids on screamin lol)

My kids love MM in CA. Me, not so much, but it's still fun to ride every once in a while. :) It's not one we feel we have to do though so sometimes we skip it.

Our running joke about the Snow White ride (which we all love) is the ending.....at the end we all hold up our hands and say "Oh no, it's scary...." and then the doors open and we say "and they lived Happily Ever After" and just crack up.....LOL It's kind of our tradition. LOL

I love that I am not the only one who gets a chuckle out of Snow White's ending. I swear they ran out of room or something :rotfl:

Or Disney was twisted :lmao: Since we always take from the ride that the Witch squished the Dwarves with the stone and "everyone lived happily ever after". ;) Maybe they didn't like all their singing :rotfl2: Its a strange ending thats for sure :)

That makes me laugh every time! I love the version at WDW. Much more complete.

I will definitely have to check out the WDW version when I go in November! Thanks for the tip!

My favorite ride at DL is Pirates of the Caribbean. I had never been on it before and this past trip we did it a few times.

At DCA, probably Tower of Tower...we only did two rides at DCA and the other one was the Chew Chew train...I'm not going to admit that is my favorite :rotfl:

Definitely want to try more rides at DCA perhaps Soarin' and California Dreamin'.

yeah. it's just a typical dark ride but the story is complete and you see snow white a few times in it. it's enjoyable.

beware of wdw's pirates of the caribbean. not very good.

i think you mean california screamin'

Favorite ride? This was a hard one as I love so many of them. After some thought I realized that Pirates is always the first ride we go on when we first arrive in the park and the last before we go home so it must be Pirates.

Can’t think of any I don’t like but I have not been on some of the rides for very small children.
