We are having a polite family debate over the best CS in MGM. :rotfl2: My feeling is that MGM really lags behind the rest of WDW. But of the choices that are available which do you feel is the best. Thank you!

We got a tastey meal at Backlot Express. I had the turkey and cheese on whole grain bread and DH had the veggie sandwich. I couldn't even get a taste of his he ate it so fast! It came with black bean salad that was very good too. Mine came with fries. The burgers also looked good there.

Also we had a very surprisingly good dessert. The no sugar added strawberry with custard. It was very very good!! Better than expected!

I like Pizza Planet and Starring Rolls.

I like the backlot express also, even though all I ever eat there are the same chicken strips (sorry, nuggets) you can get anywhere else in the world.

If I had to pick one, I would say Starring Rolls. But I completely agree with you, and because we go in the summer with kids and we take an afternoon break, we almost never have to eat in the park. We usually eat at our resort on our DHS days. :)

We have tried
Pizza Planet
Backlot
ABC commissary
and didn't particularly like any.

I have said I wouldn't eat at any of these again.
Next stop will be Studio Catering or Starring Rolls.

My kids love Pizza Planet even though they say it is the same ole pizza everywhere else. LOL Must be the atmosphere. I have to admit I love it too.

I also agree that DHS is lacking in counter service restaurants, but I have to say that Toy Story Pizza Planet is my favorite. I used to really like to go to ABC Commissary for breakfast, but they don't offer as many breakfast items anymore.

love the pulled pork sub at studio catering company and backlot express if we just want a burger.

Backlot Express and I believe it's the Writers Stop? We always get a cookie or brownie, etc. pretty tasty.
And honorable mention is the High Octane(LI Ice Tea) from the Backlot canteen;)
