Your FAVORITE character dining

We've had quite a few great experiences. Can't beat CRT for dining in the castle. We also love 1900 Park Fare breakfast. The food was great and the character interaction was fabulous. We also had a really great experience with food and characters at Akershus for lunch.

1900 Park Fare breakfast, because I think it's the only meal with Mary Poppins now. Plus, we love Pooh, Tigger, and the Mad Hatter. Alice is nice too.

How is Chef Mickey and vines in Hollywood studios?

Chef Mickey is a "controversial" experience. There are those who absolutely love it and consider it a Must for every trip. Others find it loud and over-rated. We fall kind of in the middle. It is a bit chaotic for us but not to the point of saying we will never go again. As for the food, it was just Meh. It is worth doing and we would go again once we run out of other new places to try. :)

Hollywood and Vine is on our Never Again list though. Perhaps we were just unlucky or went on a bad day. Since the characters are Disney Junior, the character meal is very loud and chaotic (although it would be fun for littles!) so not the best choice if you are wanting a restful lunch. We also went at dinner as part of the Fantasmic! dinner package. Our server was grumpy (ok... it's a hard job so I can forgive that) and inattentive (a little harder to overlook), the food was poor quality and kept running out on the buffet, and several other minor issues that just added up to one really bad experience. Again, it could have just been a bad day but it was enough to turn us off.

I am really struggling to pick a favorite... LOL! :earboy2:

Anything with Mickey goes! :teeth:

I have also had some awesome experiences with Mickey and friends "crashing" the breakfast buffet at The Castle Club at Disneyland Hotel in Paris. That experience had not been announced or separately sold as a Character Meal, they just showed up, and it has happened more than once. I believe it's been on their way down to the Inventions Restaurant on the 1st floor of the hotel, that does have a character breakfast.

So as for actual Character Meals I must pick Chef Mickey's as number one! :smickey:
I had my 30th Birthday Breakfast there. :mickeyjum

As a close runner up comes the character meal at The Garden Grill, with Mickey in full farmer outfit and Chip & Dale coming around to play. :thumbsup2

I am interested to hear from those attending the new Bon Voyage breakfast at Trattoria. Anyone?
