Your FAVORITE character dining

1900 PF dinner with Cinderella, Charming, and the Tremaines!

The buffet was really yummy and fresh...I loved the mojo pork, mashed potatoes, and strawberry soup. The characters were absolute stars. Cinderella took so much time with my daughter and the stepsisters flirted with my son (especially Drizella). Lady Tremaine was really hilarious and my daughter was in awe of the prince. It was definitely the highlight of our character dining.

Honorable mention to Tusker House breakfast (great food variety, fun dancing) and Crystal Palace (plenty of hugs and attention from characters).

I second 1900 Park Fare for decent food and an amazing character experience.
I also second Tusker House with being our second favorite (we have done lunch there a few times).

Our all-time favorite character meal was at the Garden Grill. If you get seated in one of the booths, it is like you have each character all to yourself. Each character took the time to actually sit at our table and interact with the kids. The food was super yummy too! It was nice to be able to just sit there, and let them serve us...instead of having to get up and fight the buffet lines!

Our favorite Character dining is also 1900 Park Fare. The sisters are worth the cost of the meal all by themselves. I will say, that in the last 10 years of us regularly going, the selection has suffered here as well in all the buffet style restaurants. But I will always go back to 1900 PF becuase I love the "girls". Also, part of the experiance is getting to the Grand Floridian early and enjoying the beautiful lobby with the live music. We always arrive two hours early just to enjoy the ambiance.

Our favorite is Akershus for breakfast. Much better value/food/service than CRT to dine with the princesses in my opinion. An added bonus is if you can time it right to leave around 9AM, you can walk onto the Frozen ride or meet Anna and Elsa with minimal wait. Also really enjoy Tusker House for a late breakfast/early lunch.

crystal palace breakfast... the food at breakfast is much better than lunch/dinner imo and I LOVE pooh characters
tusker house, also great food, any meal
I also am fond of the two family style breakfasts for low key - basic food but always good, 'Ohana and Garden Grill. not a fan of the menu at garden grill later in the day but breakfast was good.

I'd read that the visitors' favorite characters played a big part in the favorite character meal, but I wonder if that's true.

Yet another vote for 1900 Park Fare at dinner. Absolutely one of the best character interactions ever. However, we have also gone to 1900 PF for breakfast and it was one of our least favorites (as far as character interactions. Food was still good). In second place would be Akeshurs in Norway (Epcot) for breakfast. The dinner and lunch menu are not to our liking.

An old time favorite was Liberty Tree Tavern when they had Mickey, Minnie, and friends.

'Ohana. Stitch is a family favorite, and I like the family style instead of buffet.

For Characters, I like Chef Mickeys. You can't beat the Fab 5 all together.

For food and pretty darn good characters, the Garden Grill is my choice.

I try to mix it up and do a different character meal each trip, but recently it's been all about Chip at Garden Grill dinner... haven't done their breakfast yet. The food is consistently good and the character interaction seems more intimate, based on how the restaurant is laid out. And Chip is a fav of mine.

I've only done CRT breakfast once - Cinderella did an excellent job in the pre-meet and it was fun to watch the rest of the girls work the room. I thought the food was OK, but it had obviously been pre-plated and would have been better if it had been fresher/warmer. I don't remember the Sisters at 1900 PF, but when we were there Alice and the Mad Hatter were a hoot: I like the buffet selection at Tusker House: it's been years since I've been to CP, I just just remember it being very loud: Akershus House food was good, but character interaction not as fun as CRT was because you can only see your immediate area.

I'd honestly throw the new breakfast on the boardwalk in. Food was amazing, and some pretty great and rare characters.

Garden Grill, hands down. We have had the best character interactions there, really great. The food is good too, and we love the relatively calm setting for a character meal.

Funny how experiences can be so different, for us 1900 Park Fare breakfast is one of favorite character breakfasts and we go fairly frequently-the Mad Hatter is so much fun when he floats around the restaurant. We watch him even at other tables and he is a blast. The other characters are fun too but sometimes there can be different preferences amongst the "face" characters vs the classic/non-talking characters.

The restaurants/meals mentioned in the above post are pretty much have almost all "face" characters (princesses and friends other than Suzy & Pearla @ 1900 Pk Fare dinner), so unless you initiate a non-talking type of interaction with the non-talking characters it can be a totally different experience;)

To me the best food by far was at Ravello at the Four Seasons. They run a Goofy and Friends Breakfast on Thursday, Saturday and some Tuesdays. The freshness and quality of the food blew away every other Character Meal we've done. It wasn't overly crowded and the Characters spent quite a bit of time with us.

Second choice food-wise would be Tusker House. As for Character interactions we loved The Garden Grill.

Tusker House for b-fast is my absolute fave. 1900 Park Fare comes in 2nd for b-fast or dinner and Crystal Palace for bfast.
