We didn't do any character meals last trip. Now that I'm likely skipping MHP we may do something fun like that to get some character time... We do O'hana often and yes I have a huge stitch fan in my family, but we can stop by and see him in DCA at the visa meet and greet spot if she needs a Stitch fix! So I'm kind of ruling out PCH grill. So sell me on the others please....

Bummer that you ruled out PCH, because that's my favorite character breakfast. Yes, it has Stitch. But it also has Mickey, which makes it the best. I'm not big on spending money for breakfast. But if I did again, it would be at PCH.

I would reconsider PCH if you want to see Stitch. The characters at the Visa M&G change. We stopped by twice the last trip and did not catch Stitch there (though we didn't ask the CM for the specific schedule of characters - we just went when it was convenient for us). My daughter loves Stitch and had a blast dancing with him. We went to PCH first thing in the morning on a non-park day and it wasn't crowded. My kids got loads of character time, including Mickey.

We used to always do Goofy's Kitchen and enjoyed it but our new favourite is Minnie's breakfast at The Plaza. The food was really good and it has the most characters I've ever seen at a character meal. We saw 11 at our breakfast last year, and some even came to the table twice!

Minnie's hands down if you want a lot of characters (the food is about the same to me at all of them). Last time we were there we saw 12 characters!

We love Mickey too - but we did O'hana in February, not to mention she got her photos with stitch last October ... we have a few days to keep checking for him at the disney visa location.
Interesting with 2 votes for PCH though...I'm leaning towards the Plaza, but I'll see if I get swayed into PCH

Plaza if you want a fun assortment of characters, it's probably my 2nd favorite behind storytellers (because it's my favorite food).

If Plaza had Mickey or Donald, I would've done it years ago. But I can get Goofy at Goofy's Kitchen along with Minnie. And the rest at the Plaza are sort of a mis-match of characters. I guess if Donald were anywhere, I'd be there. But the character meals at DL seem to be just a Chip&Dale-palooza.

Glad to hear this. We have Storytellers booked for next month for a change from Minnie's and Goofy's and it'll be the first time there for us!

The food at Storytellers was definitely my family's favorite over Goofy's and PCH. But Storytellers is our least favorite for characters. We haven't done Minnie's yet because I can never bring myself to give up prime morning park hours. We are trying to decide between Goofy's and Minnie's for our trip in November. Right now I'm leaning Goofy's because then I don't have to sacrifice park time.

I felt the same way but we did a late morning reservation at Minnie's on our MM day and it was perfect. We got to the park early, took advantage of those morning touring hours and then had a late breakfast at 10:40. We were ready for a bit of a break and it served as an early lunch for us.

ETA if you're after characters Minnie's is the best bang for your buck easily. We saw 11 at our breakfast.

Wow, 11 characters! I think I'm going to pick up one of those disney encyclopedias and have the kids get it autographed during our trip(as I saw mentioned on another thread)!

Love the idea of the late breakfast too - grab a quick bite early in the morning at the resort and have an early lunch so to speak at the Plaza. Is 10:40 the latest you can book I'm guessing?

The encyclopedia is a great idea!

I believe 10:40 was the latest time we could book. It's definitely worth it for the characters alone! There's such a great variety of them and our interactions were awesome! Fairy Godmother, Captain Hook, Gepetto, the Pooh characters, and Rafiki to name a few.

PCH is my pick. I enjoy the food there more than the other places, and it is way less rushed. Minnie's can be chaotic either missing characters getting food or missing food getting characters! Storeytellers was nice but the characters weren't the best. And Stitch really is awesome!

We have our first visit to WDW this year and somehow have three breakfasts booked at Akershus, Cape May and 'Ohana.

Minnies for more "traditional breakfast" foods, PCH for some variety(tropical etc). Personally I like the food better at PCH and the relaxed atmosphere. Minnies can be somewhat chaotic.

Those are fantastic choices! We've done O'hana the most and just love it. Cape May we haven't done since our first family trip in '10 and I look forward to going back, it was a highlight of that week. And by far the best Princess experience we ever had was Akershus breakfast!! We've done CRT breakfast and Akershus lunch, but the Akershsus breakfast beat all!

Ahh, you guys are really making me think here! At least two mentions of a chaotic Minnie's experience... Is sitting outside better or worse? (Do you even get to ask for where you'd like to be seated?)

We love Minnie's, but, at this point, we've actually only done Minnie's (four times) and Ariel's twice (we're doing PCH when we go in March). We always do the latest possible seating, and we have phenomenal character interactions (with tons of characters) as the place empties out and just a few tables of diners remain. We've always been seated inside.

I didn't mean chaotic in a bad way. Its just that its either wake up and turn on to 100% or relax at PCH, eat breakfast and then start the chaos once you get through the gate.
We have sat inside and outside. Inside is defintely more chaotic but more fun in our opinion. Inside you tend to see much more characters and have more interactions. Sitting inside all the wait staff and characters tend to have to go around you more often than outside. I remember one time where Captain Hook kept putting his hook up to my throat everytime he walked by, as i had an end seat. And Daisy kept making a big deal out of my Donald Duck shirt.
