I became a teenager just before the '80's began and had my first baby just before they ended. So I am definately an "80's Girl".

Here's my favorite memory: My best friend, Nancy, and I knowing every line from the movie Caddyshack. We would quote them at every oppotunity in highschool and the other kids would just give us puzzled looks.

Dancing to the music of the 80's

And the clothes, which are back in style today :)

:) I'm an 80's baby so my fondest 80's memories are of toys, cartoons, and my early childhood years. My sister and I used to play My Little Pony all the time. We created a whole world with them right down to which pony was best friends with which.

It was at the tail end of the 80s, but I clearly remember the excitement of anticipating the release of The Little Mermaid when I was 8 years old and then literally counting down the seconds until they opened the doors at the theater in Hollywood to let us in. :)

I could go into countless memories of childhood in CA during the 80s, but then we'd be here all day. lol.

Oh no, say it aint so!!! No offence to all you children of the 80s, but what were you thinking with those clothes?? ;)

When MTV only had five VJs and they actually played music videos ;)

I'll second everything Angie said! I was a kid during the 80's, so my favorite memories all involve toys or cartoons from that time. :) Not counting family memories of vacations and stuff, of course. :)

GOT MARRIED IN 81" HAD #1DD IN 83 HAD #2DD IN 87....I GUESS THAT DECADE WAS PRETTY BUSY.....

My favorite memory from the 80's was the birth of my DD in 1986. It was a very good year!

Graduated High school 87..married 88....divorced beofer 90 hit!

Met my DH in '89 so that is definately my favorite memory.

Early 1981 or 1982. Our community concert band rode the Royal Hudson steam train to Squamish (mill town) and performed a picnic in the park. At a distance the surrounding mountains stood majestically. I was happy that I was playing lead clarinet (finally got my chance) for the first time and on a medley from The Sound of Music, I remember thinking what a perfect day doing something I love, playing my favorite music in the beautiful outdoors. And, on the train ride was my future husband and his parents, some people I would meet at a later time for fate had not decided to connect us at that particular time.

I was born in '80 so I really remember the cartoons and toys like AngieBelle. When we were little my brother and I would get up at 6 am every Saturday morning to watch cartoons. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was probably our most favorite. Because we were only 7 and 4 and were limited to what food we could make by ourselves our usual breakfast on Saturday mornings consisted of cold cereal, cold cheese hotdogs (still love those) and hot chocolate powder eaten right out of the pouch.
I remember arguing with my brother as to who's turn it was to close our parents bedroom door so we wouldn't wake them up. We were so scared of the hallway that went to their bedroom that we'd hold hands as we went to close it together. And with a flashlight of course.

December 31, 1989, 11:59pm. The decade was almost over! Yahoo! ;) :p ;) :Pinkbounc

Princess Diana's wedding- 1981 She was so beautiful, and we had no idea her future years would be so full of turmoil :(

Probably getting married in 1981! 22 years ago this July!:D

I got my first job in radio in 1980. In 1986 I lost my first son. In 1987 I moved to Atlanta.

I didn't like the 80s... :(

I was a teenager in the 80's (graduated high school in '88).:) I remember wishing I could be Janet Jackson or Jody Watley. MTV is also a good memory.:teeth:

I have many memories from the 80's that aren't good, but I try not to think about them too often.

So much happened to me in the 80's.

I guess my favorite memory is when on Christmas morning in 85 my mom opened her gift I sent. Then called the airlines and called me and had us fly home for Christmas. She had to see my baby.
I sent her one of those cheesy calendars with her picture on it. In the picture she was only 11 days old.

It was really unexpected and really nice. :)
