Now that we have decided to stay on-site, I am re-considering a few morning EMH days. I think I am sold on the MK morning EMH. But I'm not sure about AK and EP.

We will only have one AK day, so I'm wondering if a non-EMH day would be more productive than an EMH day. For Epcot, I just don't know if there is enough offered during EMH mornings...it seems like it might be super-crowded that first hour with only a handful of attractions open.

Thought? Thanks!

I don't know about Epcot, but since AK tends to have short hours any way, we've been very happy with the extra hour in the morning. I think the Safari ride is especially good in the early morning hours because the animals seem to be more active during that time of the day. We had planned to take the long way around and get a Fast Pass for Expedition Everest then go on the Safari ride. But the line was so short at Everest we just rode it and still caught the safari before anything got crowded.

We did morning EMH at AK last March and thought it was worth it, but the grandkids wanted to ride Everest as many times as possible. (And with no paper FP any more, we decided morning EMH was the way to go to accomplish it.)

We also did morning EMH, and I agree with your assessment, especially with Soarin' closed. Last year we tried to do Test Track twice during the EMH, and by the time we finished the first ride, the Standby Wait was way too long, so we opted for Single Rider (which still gave us more than a 30-minute wait). We were frustrated that we weren't able to accomplish more during the hour that used to be "golden" (closer to "bronze" now, I think....)

Epcot may not be quite as important with Soarin' closed; however, you could get Test Track in twice without much wait, once at RD and once with FP+. I suspect some of the other stuff is getting busier with Soarin' closed, like Mission Space and Spaceship Earth. Mission Space is a tier 1 now. If you want to do it and TT, then it's best to do one at RD, preferably EMH. It's probably only really useful now to get multiple rides on a particular ride.

We did AK EMH in June and it was great. i set our return FP time for the Safari around 9:45 ish. My son and I had never ridden Everest but we were determined to give it a try. Using the EMH we got like 7 rides in before we decided to head out towards the Safari Ride. We had such an amazing day there because of the EMH. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

I love AM EMH. I'm a park commando, so I would go to multiple AM & PM EMH days in a row. But in December I went to AK when it had AM EMH and it was great. I was able to ride EE 4 times in 20 minutes, got some great pictures in front of the tree. Then we went over to Dinoland and rode Dinosaur, Triceratop Spin and Primeval Whirl. Then we did the Maharajah trail, and finally, after taking a lot of pictures,we decided to go over to KS around 10. So we got a lot done in the first two hours of the park.

I also love AM EMH for Epcot, since Futureworld is open up before the showcase there's only so much to do. If you want to hit the big rides, like Soarin, TT, or MS a few times, you definitely need to be there early in order to get them in without waiting for a really long time.

With EMH at AK, like others have said, we finished pretty much all of the rides without issue, and rode several right in a row.
