We've booked a luau for two next Feb. and our only concern is the fact that we'll be placed at a common table, or so I understand, perhaps with other couples, perhaps as the odd couple out among a very large group. We've dined a Teppanyaki numerous times, both as a couple and as a group of 6 or more so we've seen both sides of this coin. The last time at Teppanyaki, for instance, it was we two and a family from La. The father was outgoing but the mom seemed to be put off by the expense and the 3 teen kids obviously wanted to be anywhere but there. It was like the meal after funeral for that group, so we just split a large saki and had our own party.
I'd welcome hearing the experiences of couples who did the luau as a twosome. We're not sold on the idea of going, we're just looking for new Disney stuff we haven't done yet and we've popped into the Poly bar right off the monorail a few times and enjoyed it there, so this seem like a good bet. Thanks in advance for sharing your story.
