and my second would be a "Chanel" bag. The first is completely out of my price range, and the second, well, if you read the thread on the worst customer service, ever, well, my story is the Chanel store. I have many old Coach bags, and stopped buying them when they off shored the production to China and Domincan Republic. I do not spend hundreds of dollars for made in China or DR. I never considered Coach to be designer just good quality until they off shored it. I am now a devotee of Furla, which is my favorite brand, they are beautifully made in Italy, and are gorgeous!! I am thinking about a bag that I saw last week at the Cartier store, it is 700 euros, and just may be my birthday present to myself. FWIW, I live in europe and my salary is in euros, so I have the advantage of made in Italy, for shoes and handbags, without dealing with a negative exchange rate.

Realistically, the Michael Kors stores just had a big clearance on some bags and Nordstrom is having a sale right now too.

I love Coach too, just didn't see too many my style this season.

I second going to the Purse Forum for info on bags. However, be careful, when I first started looking through their forums, I was just buying Coach. Then I made the mistake of wondering into the LV and Chanel forums.....

My dream bag was the Coach Carly. For a while I thought it was too expensive, but it's the only bag I've ever seen that I really love. So I just went ahead and bought. Besides trips to Disney, it's the one thing I haven't regretted spending money on.

You won't regret buying a Speedy 25. It's truly a great classic bag. I have a regular mongram one & the Cerises Speedy 25(the cherry one) and they are fabulous. I use them way more than all my other LV's & Coaches.

Seriously..it is a dangerous place (and not truly for the budget minded, although I have found some great deals). Since joining, I have bought 2 guccis, a botkier and a prada tote (ALL on sale, though!)
Edited to add: I also rec the speedy. Mine is 5 years old and the patina is gorgeous! Everything from LV holds up so well.
