Your budget... without Disney

I don't know...visit yearly for the past 15 years.....spent approx 1000-1500 each trip (2 weeks each,we're budgeteers) so 15,20k maybe?
Does it make a difference? If we hadn't vacationed at WDW,it would have been somewhere else of equal value and cost....in fact we travel quite a bit anyway....
We've always viewed WDW as our 'all inclusive resort' vacation, and when you price those things out,it is far cheaper there than many other places...especially the way we roll:rotfl:

you really have to look at the what you get for the cost. Where else can you hang out for 15 hours, do everything you want, see shows, parades, fireworks have a bunch of cheery (mainly) people around to assist you, have beautiful grounds and a wonderful atmosphere at that price? It's a bargain!. I've dropped a ton at our crappy little county fair, rickety expensive rides, crummy expensive food, dust, bees, questionable characters (:)). Really..Disney is a bargain...

agreed! just one day at a local fair for 3 people is o around 150.00.....I'd rather be at disney!:rotfl2:

Excellent point about cost! Disney is not that expensive when you factor that we can drive to nearby entertainment place- fair, museum, minigolf type place etc eat and drive home and spend $200 for that one day! Yikes! I'd much rather be at Disney!

We've made numerous trips to Dl. Since we stay at inlaws cost isin't really a factor. We made our first trip to wdw this year year it cost about 7,500. Were planning one for next year probably cost about 8,000. I don't think we can keep this up for 10 years:scared1:Since the kids are at the perfect disney age 6 and 8. Were going to do I few blow out trips deluxe everything. Then I think we will have to find some cheaper places to vacation or scale it back a little as the kids get older and more expensive.

I consider the money well spent as the memories are absolutely priceless :goodvibes

We have a 20K budget for travel each year... and each year I seem to go over budget. :rolleyes1

I do not get a new car each year like our friends, nor do I buy a new outfit for each occasion that comes up... instead I feel that the memories our family makes on trips far exceeds the price of "things".

I really don't like to think about it  Since our first trip as a family in 2005, we've spent in the neighborhood of 20K on Disney trips. What would we do with it if not for Disney? Spend it on other vacations. We live below our means and value experiences over material things, so most of our disposable income is spent on traveling and right now Disney gets about 2/3 of our travel budget.

Thats awsome. My goal is too have about 20k for vacation every year. Right now I can manage about 10k. I agree you can't put a price tag on memories.
