I am trying to put togther a good wdw Planning spreadsheet and have seen some great ones in the past.

Anyone willing to share theirs please post a link or email to drakethib@yahoo.com.

Thanks

Man I am a nerd, it is 3:30 am and I am messing with a spreadsheet :)

I just set up a large table in Word and start cutting and pasting into it. Easy to see and manipulate. Whatever you do, don't try to use Disney's Magical Gatherings Planner...

I went through my Passporter and marked everything that was a must do.

Then I typed them all in a spread sheet. I had one column for a number, on column for the attraction name and a column for a tip for that attraction, like sit on the left side, then I had a column for how long each one would take.

Then I went to the Touring Plans in the passporter and put the number on my spreadsheet as to what to do first then next.

Then I sorted them my number and broke them out by time, so I knew when I needed to have breaks. popcorn::

Too much planning?

I have it if anyone wants it, but it is set up for our family and our likes - I will be touring with teen. :bitelip:

Hope this helps! :tink:

My best one was one modeled after some site. I used Powerpoint and divided my 8.5 x 11 page into 8 sections. 4 on the bottom and 4 on the top.

I added stuff like cell phone and emer phone contacts including were we were going to stay in small type. Then, I had our flight numbers on one section. I also included sections for ADRS, Parade times and dates, EMH schedule, our park schedule, etc.

For the 4 sections across the top, you update it and then rotate the text box. When you fold them all together and across, you get a small 8 page booklet that fit nicely in the fanny pack or whatever you carried. I made extra ones because invariably they got smushed or wrinkled. I gave the kids a fresh one each day so that the cell numbers were available in case they got lost.

Before computers, I used to cut out paper squares and depending on the nights of our stay, I would list all the places we wanted to eat on each sheet. I then made a row for each day, moved the squares for meals around along with squares for each park we'ld be in to mininize travel and kept shuffling them around till I got a plan I like.

Occasionally if I go somewhere I'll email or text a message to my cellphone. You could email your cell phone one message per day. But actually I like the suggestion of Pepe of Ohio who suggests using paper squares. That seems easier, more reliable and very accessible. :)
